The Gamecube is the most underrated console ever!

The system was my favorite of that generation, and not just because I am a Nintendophile (though I am). There were a few exclusive games that really just made the system for me: Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, REMake, RE0, Odama, etc. There were more that started off as exclusives...

Smooth McGroove

Yeah I used to support him at the highest level on Patreon. It's definitely a trip seeing video game music performed acapella. I moved on to supporting someone else though instead, but I still dig this guy's stuff. Even though I am not a Final Fantasy fan, the one he did for "Final...

Realizing my love for adventure games

I love point-and-click adventure games. I still have great memories of the first two Broken Sword games, and Beneath a Steal Sky. I also liked those horror point-and-click adventures, the original Clock Tower for the Super Famicom, and its sequel(s) for Playstation, especially the first ...

Zelda: Ocarina of Time (3DS)

Yeah, you can save at any time in Ocarina of Time. Majora's Mask only allows you to save at the statues, or by playing the reverse Song of Time and going back to day 1.

Remembering the Xbox

I was not a great fan (and still am not) of first-person shooters, most fighting games, etc. XBOX just put out a majority of games that were not my cup of tea.

However, when an XBOX game did catch my attention, it usually did it in a very big and very time consuming way. The m...

What if Atari's Pac-Man was better?
I'm not sure it was all revisionist history. This thread triggered a long-dormant memory of mine.

A friend of mine in school named Chuck had somehow obtained an advanced copy of Pac-Man because his mom worked at a department store or something like that. ...
Voor glad to see you again. I remember when I first joined these boards back in 2005 you were one of the 'regulars'. It's always nice seeing people come back to the forums! Maybe Zenzerotron, Sega Saturn X or Bluemonkey will pop up next!
I b...
It could all be fixed by simply having a separate review group who is different from their "preview/news" group.
Hmm.... that's precisely what the Gamespot Editorial Team did back when Greg Kasavin left the company to become a game designer: the team was d...

Are you surprised that Nintendo is improving the 3D effect on the 'new' 3DS?

I really like this. I didn't really want to do a games transfer again, given that this is limited to five transfers, but I'd do it again with improved 3D.
