Re: What do your the kids in your life think of these games?

I try to carve out a little bit of time, every week, to game with my four year old daughter. I don’t let her play anything beyond NES, at the moment, because the controls are a bit overwhelming. Actually, I do have a funny/cute story. So, I managed to get my mitts on an NES Classic, which excited me...

Re: is the raspberry pi console or pc good for retro games ?

Personally, considering space and budget, I’m all for emulation....but there’s a caveat. I won’t download the games that are all but guaranteed to be released, unless I own it on another device. For instance, I just sent my SNES Classic away to have games added on. For the most part, I requested gam...

Re: AVGN: Ready 4 Revenge (Blu Ray)

I’ve grown bored with his Nerd reviews (though he did a really good job with Earthbound). I think that I prefer the Nerd videos where he digs into long forgotten pop culture history (Wish List 1 and 2 come to mind). However, I really enjoy his movie reviews, where he actually offers an interesting p...

Re: NES Classic Impressions

I was lucky enough to find one, in the Wild, today (Nintendo must have really stepped up their game, since everybody I know who wanted one, who missed out the last time, managed to snag one this weekend): My thoughts? It’s a cool little device, but it has sort of a “meh” factor, after the awesomenes...

Re: MLB The Show 18

Gaming, in general, is heading towards a very bleak future. All you have to do is watch this year’s E3, especially the EA presentation, to catch a glimpse. I welcome certain aspects of the digital/online space (where would indie gaming be without it?), but the concept of streaming worries me. One up...

Re: Mario Tennis Aces

Eh. Something about Mario themed sports games, at least the non-rpg/Camelot games, doesn’t interest me at all. The Switch schedule is a bit too crowded for me to bother with this. Flashback 25th Anniversary, Night Trap, Wolfenstein II, Octopath, and Dark Souls Remaster will be taking up most of my ...

Re: Switch Owners, how is your library shaping up?

Ha! I totally forgot about Rocket League! I downloaded it, played it for a few weeks, and then I stopped. It's a good game, but it isn't for me.

Switch Owners, how is your library shaping up?

Now that the console is fifteen months old, and has had time to establish a pretty decent library, I'm curious to see how everyone's individual libraries are shaping up. At the moment, this is what I have: -Breath of the Wild -Mario Odyssey -Snipperclips -Doom -Skyrim -South Park: FBW -Labo: Kit 1 -...

Re: Super Smash Bros Ultimate On Nintendo Switch (Spoilers!)

Eh. I’d be more excited if Nintendo wasn’t under the assumption that every Nintendo fan is a super fan of Smash Bros (I mean, I like it but I don’t know if I’ll buy it). Personally, I’m more jazzed for Daemon x Machina, which looks great! I guess I’m growing bored with the constant, predictable diet...
