Batman: Arkham Asylum (360)

Hooked up my 360, so I decided to play Arkham Asylum for the first time ever, and yeah, I've been missing out. The first that strikes me is, as a huge Batman The Animated Series fan, I'm delighted they got Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill in to do the voices of Batman and the Joker respectfully. But mor...

Best Sega Genesis Soundtracks?

The Genesis sound chip has gotten a bad rap, but in the right hands, it created some incredible video game soundtracks. So which ones were the best on the system? Sonic 3 & Knuckles: The first 2 games indeed had good soundtracks, but got a little too 80s cheesy at times for my taste (Metropolis ...

Re: Play as many games as you can or play less games to death ?

I think for the most part it depends on the scope of the game. If it's a game small enough for you to explore every nook and cranny, then yeah, I'd play it to death. Examples include Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and Quake II. However, while games like Skyrim are good, it may be really overwhelming to f...

Kids movies that can be enjoyed by adults

There's movies that are for kids and movies for adults, but what about kids movies that adults can enjoy?

Here's some of my nominations.

Toy Story (duh)
Shrek
The Polar Express
Ice Age (the first one)
The Incredibles
Holes

Yoshi's Story (N64)

I find it hard to believe this was the game that disappointed people, because I just got it today and I think it's great. The game seems short, but there's so many secrets, hidden areas and items, and choosing multiple paths adds so much replay value. I love collecting lucky fruit, and surprisingly ...

Quake II (Nintendo 64)

I got this game not expecting much (since it's a port), but damn I love this game! Not only is it better than Goldeneye and Perfect Dark in my opinion, it's one of the best first person shooters period. The game is fast paced, intense and runs at a ridiculously fast and smooth frame rate. I love wea...

Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii)

I think the new additions help DKCR stand out. It still has that DKC vibe while being its own thing, Also good lord is this game brutally difficult. But it's difficult in a way that encourages you to get better. Some of the rocket and mine cart levels can be too much, but otherwise it's a really fun...

Re: Happy 20th Birthday, GoldenEye

Is this a rare instance where the game is more well known than the movie? Anyway, yeah, single player mode is still addicting as hell.

Re: Ray Harryhausen (And Stop-Mo in General.)

Stop motion is cool. I remember growing up with the Wallace and Gromit shorts as a kid, as well as Chicken Run.

This was obviously the basis for the models in Clayfighter as well. I think Donkey Kong Country too?

Autumn Music?

With September coming next month (thanks, Captain Obvious!), there isn't a better time to prepare for an autumn music playlist than right now. I love the fall scenery; the cloud heavy skies, the leaves falling off the trees, and the cool temperatures. So with that said, what artists/albums really br...
