Re: Pac Man (Apple II)

Nice. I actually have this game for my Apple IIe computer, but I've never played it. (Then again, I haven't bothered to play any Pac-Man port since getting my arcade Pac-Man machine.) Looks like a fun version from the screenshot, though. Unfortunately, I've never really played my IIe as much as I wo...

Re: GameStop selling comics...

Trading in is completely different and I definately agree with you. But I think they could bring in a lot of hardcore gamers if they had the stock. If they carried 300-400 3DS games instead of the usual 50, I would definately go to my local store rather than Amazon. The two go hand-in-hand for used...

Re: Cool Boarders 2 (Playstation 1)

Whoa, count me in too. I also played Cool Boarders 2 on a PS1 demo disc, and it made me really want the game. I eventually did get it and played it quite a bit. In retrospect, the trick system isn't all that fun and the animations and controls are pretty clumsy. Once the Tony Hawk series came along ...

Re: GameStop selling comics...

This is probably smart. Even if video games are more mainstream and popular, I often notice that mom & pop stores for comic books, cards, and collectibles (without video games) seem to survive longer than similar stores that just focus on video games. So there's probably something to that, and G...

Re: 2018/7/12: Nintendo Switch: Mario Tennis Aces

Yet another time where I think it would bw much more helpful to your readers if you listed the developer of the game, not the publisher. These days Nintendo doesn't always make their sports games, and some developers have better track records than other. For example, Wayforward made the amazing Mar...

Race the Sun (Great $2 game) (PS4, XB1, Wii U, PC, etc.)

Here's a game I picked up on PS4 last week that I highly recommend. It's usual price is $9.99, and the gameplay might be a little too shallow for $10, but I got it on sale for $1.99 and it's well worth it at that price. It's available as a download on many systems, including PS4, Xbox One, Vita, PS3...

Re: 2018/7/3: Super Nintendo: Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie

I used to think $30 for a loose SNES cartridge was expensive, but nowadays it seems to be becoming the norm. That's for sure. I made a spreadsheet of my SNES games last year, with values, and was shocked how much they had increased since buying them. It's even worse for CIB games. Around 10 years a...

Re: 2018/7/3: Super Nintendo: Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie

Your review of MMPR: The Movie made me want to buy it ASAP. Then I saw that it sells for about $30 loose!! Considering that every other Power Rangers game is dirt cheap, my guess is that gamers must have learned that this one is a hidden gem. I wasn't a Power Rangers fan growing up, but my younger c...

Re: NES Classic Impressions

I ordered one on BestBuy.com too, and should arrive this week. It's already shipped. I didn't order until several hours after launch, so either there is a lot less demand or a lot more supply this time (probably both). I've only played my SNES Classic for a grand total of like 2 hours, so I'm not re...

Re: Cuphead (Xbox One)

I haven't heard any plans for a physical release either. I wouldn't rule it out, but even if it does ever happen I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. Plus, like velcrozombie noted, the game is an Xbox One exclusive on consoles, and it seems like Limited Run Games and a lot of the similar small publish...
