Re: 2018/6/19: Playstation: The Lost World: Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park Special Edition

Never played any of these, but still found the reviews interesting to read. I had actually read the old version of the Special Edition review a few days ago, and it was interesting how much your thoughts on that game have changed since the last time you reviewed it. It's too bad that no developer ha...

Re: Madden Day

Fun read- thanks for posting this. Not just the games, but also your disgruntled reminiscings as a Bears fan. I'm a big football fan as well and try to get a new game once or twice a generation. But I didn't start playing the Madden series for the first time until Madden 2002 on the Xbox. Before tha...

Re: 2018/6/7: Playstation 4: Everybody's Golf

It's too bad that this one didn't turn out well. I've been a big fan of the Hot Shots Golf series from the first time I played a demo of the original PS1 game back in the day. They really perfected the arcade-style golf game over the years. But once that happens, there's still pressure to mix up the...

Re: Favorite Fake Review?

Definitely Strip Poker II. The other ones were good too, but that one really raised the bar. There's at least 3 or 4 lines in there that are laugh-out-loud funny. The best line, "My Virtual Boy is finally a Virtual Man", is my favorite line of all the reviews on the site.

Re: 2018/6/3: Saturn: F1 Challenge, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (Japan)

Now the question is... is it worth tracking down X-Men Vs. Street Fighter for the PS1...? Hmm.. Unless there's something superior about the PS1 version, it would seem redundant, since the Saturn usually did better at 2D fighters. Also, according to PriceCharting, complete copies of the PS1 version ...

Re: 2018/6/3: Saturn: F1 Challenge, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (Japan)

You'll never see me complain about new Saturn reviews. I bought F1 Challenge for $3 a few years back, but still haven't played it. As for X-Men vs. Street Fighter.. I'm not a fighting game fan at all, but your review is so passionate that it makes me want the game! In reality, I know there's no chan...

Re: Touchdown Fever (NES)

It's a miracle you're not in a gang, or worse, after this childhood trauma! Herschie, you're a glutton for punishment with these old sports games you're always playing - I don't know how you do it! I'll have to take your word for it on this one - I can't imagine ever playing any other football game ...

Re: Jurassic Park dioramma

Looks like it's $2400... which is crazy! It says $2400 is the SRP (suggested retail price?) and that $240 is the cost of pre-ordering it, which is 10% of the SRP.

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

So this is nothing like Metal Gear Acid? No, not at all. Despite being a huge MGS fan (it's my favorite series), I've never played the Acid games, because they sound boring and they're not part of the main MGS story. However, I just read your Metal Gear Acid review for a refresher on that game, and...

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

I played Portable Ops on the PSP years back. I remember the story getting pretty interesting, so I stuck with it and finished it. But I definitely got tired of the mission structure too, and dragging recruits back to the truck. Scoring this in the C range definitely sounds about right. I agree with ...
