Re: The depressing reality of some Nintendo fans (a rant)

I think some fans' expectations can be a little unrealistic. I mean, the Switch hasn't even been out a year yet! And, there's been already been a Zelda and Mario game released. Yes, this Direct was a bit underwhelming for 1st party stuff, but it was just a "mini" Direct. Wait until future ...

Re: Star wars the last jedi spoilers ahead.

Just saw this and I loved it! Couple of thoughts: - Loved that Snoke called out Kylo Ren at the beginning, basically telling him what all Star Wars fans were thinking: How could he not beat Rey who had never picked up a light sabre before, to get rid of the mask and that he's still a child. - Loved ...

Re: 1982: A Christmas to Remember

Great article! My favourite christmas was when my older brother bought me a Sega Master System in 1987. I still have it and play it to this day. One of my favourite xmas memories was actually from a few years ago. At the time I was 39 and my brother 47. Our city was hit by a big ice storm and my bro...

Re: Framemeister

Is RGB the same an component cables? No, they're not. Component is 1 step down from RGB. In terms of quality, from worse to best: RF, composite, S-Video, Component, RBG. This is a great video that explains the Framemeister and RGB: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43dzrCAfU3A They do a great job is ...

Re: Framemeister

I have a Framemeister and I love it! I have a modest sized basement, so having a big CRT is not an option for me. Plus, I like using just 1 tv for all of my video gaming needs. This website below has all of the recommended settings which I use on mine: http://www.firebrandx.com/framemeisterprofiles....

Re: Best time of year for gaming?

As the cold air has moved in it occurred to me that we are approaching the best time of year for gaming. 1. Harsh weather and less hours of light means more time spent indoors. It's more comfortable to curl up with a game when it's cold out. 2. Many of the big-name titles are released around the ho...

Blinking Light Win - Pin replacement for NES

Several years ago I replaced my faulty pin connector on my NES with an Ebay connector. Now my replacement pin connector is shot. So, I did some research on line and ordered a "Blink Light Win" connector. This connector does not allow you to push down on the cartridge, which is what causes ...

Re: Wii Shop Channel is shutting down soon. Make backups for WiiWare titles while you still can.

This is another argument for physical media. True, but if digital eshops didn't exist, then most of these games wouldn't exist. Most of these developers for digital only release games are 1 or 2 person operations and it wouldn't be feasible for them to release their games physically. I wonder how t...
