Re: Genesis Hard Drivin'

The review does mention that the game was a technical achievement: This archaic racer is barely playable today, but it was pretty amazing for its time. Hard Drivin' was the first arcade game with first-person, 3D polygon graphics On games like this and Journey to the Planets (http://videogamecritic....

Re: My Youtube channel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVeVfh427-Y You can post links if you want. I know a lot of forums block new users from posting links, but I don't think the mods do that here. Not a bad overview. You might want to consider adding a front light; you were almost silhouetted in the beginning. A mike mi...

Re: Terrified of a Digital Future

Anyone know where to watch programs which premiered on WireBreak.com? It was an early video streaming service, founded in the late 90's by a former Paramount exec. http://variety.com/2000/digital/news/wirebreak-com-breaks-off-staff-1117783601/ We've already seen online content disappear, seemingly w...

Re: How to break a game

Pokemon has some glitches which can ruin your saved game. Saving in glitch city without a flying Pokemon will leave you stuck there.

And then there's ZZAZZ: https://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/ZZAZZ_glitch

Re: Terrified of a Digital Future

Tried to use Netflix at someone's house once. They said it had every movie I could want, so I typed in "Gwanhi," because I wanted to see the "Valley of Gwanhi." It wasn't there. I looked up "The Lost World," & only found one B-movie, even tho there have been at leas...

Denshi Manga Juku by Bandai This was mentioned by a comment on MarriotGuy's site: http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com/art-handhelds.htm#page=d1990s It's apparently handheld with an art/drawing focus. Has a touchscreen, came out a year or so before the Game.com. https://assemblergames.com/threads/...

Re: Dina System

Got this response from BassGuitari at AtariAge. Thought it might be helpful, so I'm posting it here: Very cool! I'm not a forum member at VGC and I know that thread you linked is a couple of years old, but I have some information he may find helpful: It appears he's having trouble with b/w video and...

Re: My declining interest in modern video games.

I'm not even sure ROM cartridges are limited. Technology advancements during a system's life can be used to make larger carts. Think of the Atari 2600; it was originally limited to 2 or 4 kilobyte games, but by 1990 bank switching let developers create 32 & 64k games. I don't think the PS1 will ...

Super Mario Land doesn't get enough credit for its music; I especially like the 2nd world's over world theme, & the shooting levels' theme.
