iOS 11 can't transfer photos to PC

Unless you download iCloud. You used to be able to transfer pictures to your PC with a USB cable. Discussion on Apple's website: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8118990 It looks like there's a way to turn that feature off, but I'm not sure it'll let you transfer pictures you've taken with it on...

Pockemon - A Pokemon Spoof

Wrote this awhile back, & I'm a bit sheepish about posting it. It's a parody of the 1st episode of Pokemon. Some of it may only make sense if you've seen the show & researched the franchise's history, or it may just be silly enough to be fun on its own. I don't know. Anyways, here it is: Poc...

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's version of The Lost World, online for free; it's old enough for the copyright to have expired in the US.

Not bad, once they get to the Lost World. Sadly that takes about half the novel. :/

Sorry again! :(

Re: Jurassic World

My earlier responses about The Lost World were a bit over the top, & rude. Forgive me please. On Jurassic World ... A lot of stuff in Jurassic Park seemed real, like the tech needed was just around the corner. ("Interactive CD-ROMS!") Even cloning dinosaurs seemed possible; the scienti...

Re: Jurassic World

....How did you not know that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a novel called The Lost World? It's not exactly obscure. How does someone miss all of this? Not knowing that Doyle wrote The Lost World is like thinking atari is just a term from Go. The Lost World is fairly popular and definitely Doyle's b...

Re: Jurassic World

Didn’t know Doyle had a book by that title. I’m working on a thousand page Sherlock Holmes collection, and it’s great! I love it. ....How did you not know that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a novel called The Lost World ? It's not exactly obscure. -The novel was one of the first to show a world wher...

Videotopia?

Reading through an old technology related time line, I came across this: "From Saturday, June 15, through Sunday, September 15, Videotopia debuts at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The traveling exhibit offers a hands-on interactive look at the history of video games.&q...

Re: So when did home video games become "Arcade Perfect?"

Bringing up controls is an interesting point, Scotland, one that I haven't heard before. It's a new idea, and sometimes new ideas take time to catch on. Sometimes they never catch on, even if they are good. I'd suggest leaving cockpit cabinets out of the discussion, since most games came in several ...

Re: Solo (Spoiler Alert)

Star Wars was THE biggest movie name ever. Other studios used to have to plan their releases years in advance to NOT be out around Star Wars. Now, in just a few short years, Fox says "yeah, our R rated sequel to a lesser known Marvel character can easily crush it around Star Wars, even with an...
