Re: 2017/12/10: Game Boy Advance: Elf: The Movie

CharlieR - Yes, you prompted this review. I hadn't heard of this game before, so thanks. Elf: The Movie is a nice dose of Christmas cheer, but not much of a game, which explains the mediocre grade. Glad I could help. As I was digging through the pile of GBA games, I spotted the game and thought &qu...

Re: 2017/12/10: Game Boy Advance: Elf: The Movie

Seems like the grade being poor despite the positive nature of the review may be because it seems to have all the makings of a fun little game, but is just executed in frustrating ways? Never played it, but I am just making an assumption. Also, I did mention this game in the winter games thread. I s...

Re: College Football Playoffs

Don't know a lot about college football, but I think they got the teams right, at least for the first three. I think Alabama getting in might be a case of tradition or favoritism. It's like they got in just because they have historically won or played for championships in recent years. I was listeni...

Retro STrife wrote:Thanks for these. Your review for NBA in the Zone makes me want to play it, so I will definitely have to check it out.

I have a lot of basketball games, including Nba live '98 for ps1 and NBA courtside 2 for n64 from that era, still, in the zone looks fun.

Re: A game I can "sink my teeth into"

^^ Thanks. Some of those seem like games I would enjoy. I haven't played a Grand Theft Auto game, but have played Simpsons: Hit and run, which I hear is like GTA with Simpsons Characters. The Last Of Us I always felt was a game I needed to check out. It looks a lot like the uncharted games. Might li...

Re: A game I can "sink my teeth into"

- super smash bros. is one I get a lot of gameplay. Also, Kirby air ride, made by the same developer, I got a lot out of that as well. The thing I like is that these games both have checklists to keep me playing. -Resident Evil 4 is another one of those "hardcore" type games that are so po...

A game I can "sink my teeth into"

Looking for a game I can “sink my teeth into.” What I mean by that is a game I can really enjoy playing for an extended period of time. Whenever I get together with my cousin, he is always playing a game on his 3ds or vita. Most of the time, it’s a heavily-involved game like Fire Emblem, Monster Hun...

Re: Got me a SWITCH!

5 seems fine, 3 seems a bit young to be playing a "real" video game console, and not one of those leap frog learning devices. I have been seeing Switches pop up at Target, and they have had several in the case each time I have gone there for a couple months I'd say, although last sunday wa...

Re: Tony Hawk series

Yeah, I love THPS 4. I found the goals to be the most fun and challenging. The game gets more challenging as it goes on (like every other game ever,) but there are still really easy goals still pop up later in the game. The Shipyard level later in the game has a goal called “gap the suspended contai...
