Re: Playstation One: Jewel or long boxes?

Here's a photo I just took of the three long box varieties (although might be hard to make out). http://videogamecritic.com/images/ps1/ps1_longboxes.jpg The first is the standard all-plastic box like the Saturn games had. Not very durable, but I liked these. You felt like you were getting something ...

Re: Sears Tele-cade Games

Yeah I'm thinking about adding all the Sears games. The problem is, there's like 50 of them! http://www4.ncsu.edu/~awwatkin/ATARI/2600/AtariSears.html So do I want to add 50 mostly-empty reviews? Now I'm leaning back towards the model of just using the "aka" in a single review. Especially ...

Re: Playstation One: Jewel or long boxes?

Fantastic post Matchstick. Thanks for taking the time to write it. You put a lot of heart into that post. Bravo!
There were actually several iterators of the Playstation longbox before they switched over.

Re: Governments do not like loot boxes!

First of all, trusting just about any poll is a mistake. Next, the poll was of "tech influencers" of the game industry who have an clear agenda. I don't believe these results for a second.

Re: Sears Tele-cade Games

Oh okay I see.
I think I'll go ahead and add the missing Sears titles as separate reviews since that seems to be the preferred method.

Re: Sears Tele-cade Games

Right now there are very few mentions of the Sears versions, but I'd like to change that so at the very least they get a mention on the site. Having them as their own separate reviews is problematic. It doesn't look very good and it tends to screw up the "if you like this, try these" algor...

Re: Super Retrocade Review

I would also strongly recommend changing the video format for each game to "original". This really compresses the screen area and makes the animation look a lot smoother.

Re: Governments do not like loot boxes!

This is one of the consequences of online gaming. Companies have turned "pay to play" into "gamble to win".
Greed conquers all.

Sears Tele-cade Games

I have an issue to resolve involve the Sears Telecade Atari 2600 clone. There are several Atari 2600 games that had different names when released for the Sear Telecade. Case in point: Breakaway IV (same as Breakout). What a strange name! http://videogamecritic.com/2600bb.htm?e=55001#rev109 So instea...
