Re: Huge Atari Boxes

I believe their size was marketing strategy. If they took up a lot of shelf space they would be easy to see - or hard to miss!

Re: Cats like this icon idea?

Sounds like this icon is gaining steam! If anyone has any designs let me know. I might try to digitize the face of one of my cats.

Re: Retro Atari, Nintendo DS

Do you anticipate a 2018 edition? If so I'll just wait for that.

Re: Huge Atari Boxes

As you can imagine the manual is gorgeous. 20 big pages with big text large font and plenty of screenshots. Love it!

Ad pop ups?

For those who aren't using ad blockers, have you run into any issues with the site lately? My friend Brent said he was trying to look at my latest Genesis review and found himself in pop-up hell. I can't have that. I contact the ad company about it, but would like to know if anybody else has had iss...

Huge Atari Boxes

Just got Asteroids (new) for the Atari 400/800 from Best Electronics.
Can't get over how huge the old games boxes are. Where am I going to store this??
The box measures 11inches x 8.5 inches x 1.5 inches. The manual is nearly as big!
The cartridge? A little 2" x 3" brick!

Re: Dave’s No Cursing Policy

You're welcome! I straddle the line a bit, using [expletive] to mask out would-be profanity. Gotta keep a little bit of passion in there. I do tend to curse in real life, but only in the company of friends. Cursing in public (especially in front of kids) is just trashy and I despise it. I consider t...

Olympic Snowboarder

Not sure how many of you have been following the Olympics, but this is one of the more strangest stories I've seen. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/20/sports/olympics/elizabeth-swaney-olympics-video.html Check out the clip of her run. I actually have to give this girl a lot of credit for getting int...

Dead Game Servers

This Ars Technica article doesn't apply to most of us, but it really illustrates just how ephemeral online gamers really are. Here today gone tomorrow.
