I Am Setsuna (Switch)

Well, this game definitely has the winter atmosphere I was looking for, but the gameplay leaves much to be desired. The combat system is confusing. The game makes a point of telling you it does not automatically save. So what happens? After making a lot of progress and finding no save points, I get ...

Re: Gex series

It's true that us "Playstation people" were looking for a Super Mario 64 surrogate. I know because I was one of them!
Spyro didn't come out until late 1998, whereas Gex came out early.
Frankly we never really found what we were looking for... not on the PS1 anyway.

Oh wow I would be loving this, but as Zeta X mentioned, so sure if they could provide light-gun style controls.
At this point though I'd think I'd settle for moving a cursor around the screen!

Re: Ending to the Saints-Vikings game

I despise the term "walkoff" but it was a great game.

The throw reminded me of the one Joe Flacco threw to Jacoby Jones at Denver a few years back during their Super Bowl run.

Bally Astrocade multicart

I just realized it has been two years since I posted new Bally Astrocade reviews. That's too long considering what a great system it is. Plus I have UltiMulti 2.00 with loads of games I haven't reviewed yet. The problem is, most of these don't load. I believe the ones labeled at BRB require extra RA...

Re: Gex series

Been a while since I touched this series, but I do recall playing one of the 3D Gex's on my Playstation. You're right - it's a very cookie cutter game. As my first free-roaming 3D title I kept playing hoping it would get better, but I don't think it ever did.

Re: 2018/1/14: Genesis: Aero the Acro-Bat, Aero the Acro-Bat 2

I have to say that I am really surprised by the review. About a week ago I noticed the SNES Aero on my emulator ROM list and decided to give it a try, mostly because it was one of those games I remember seeing on store and rental shelves alot as a kid, which is about all I need for the game to have...

I felt it was necessary to re-review the first one as a basis of comparison. Glad I did!
