Re: Physical music overtakes downloads

Kids don't buy music anymore, Dave! They all steal it. That's why concert ticket prices are through the roof. If nobody is buying the music, you have to make money somehow! There's actually a lot of truth to this. Most kids I talk to have no concept of spending money on music. I think this has deva...

Re: Physical music overtakes downloads

I realize music streaming is growing very fast, but isn't this more comparable to listening to a radio station as opposed to actually buying an album or single?

Saturn replacement cases

As many collectors will tell you, the problem with collecting games for systems like the Saturn is that their big "long box" plastic cases are prone to damage. Even if you find an otherwise the pristine Saturn title, the case is usually cracked or falling off of its hinge. That's why I was...

Physical music overtakes downloads

Just stumbled upon this article which shows physical cd/vinyl sales beating digital downloads in 2017. https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2018/03/physical-music-sales-are-outselling-downloads-for.html It's important to note that music online has moved to the streaming medium, which is by far the...

Re: When do you use a CRT?

For me I use a 27" Toshiba CRT for everything up to the Dreamcast/PS2. Most of my Dreamcast games play via VGA, but for the rest I use the CRT. I played most PS2 games on the CRT, except for a few that support progressive scan. Everything after that is on the HDTV.

What happened to Paprium?

Last year I spent $70 on this new Genesis fighting game, but it keeps getting delayed. I'm starting to think I got taken for a ride. Anybody have any new info? If they're not going to release this, I should get a refund. This is the last time I pay for a game like this ahead of time. https://www.hey...

Re: Music!

I always loved the musical intro to Soul Blade for the PS1. And of course I love Sonic Boom from Sonic CD.

Re: Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition coming to Switch this summer!

I'd really love to see a Night Trap sequel done in the same style. Either that or they can go super-realistic, which could turn out to be a pretty scary game.

Re: Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition coming to Switch this summer!

There is something ironic about Night Trap being released on a cartridge, since it was the one of the first games to require disc media.

I'd love to have this, but I suspect it will be super hard to get. I was lucky to get the PS4 version.
