Re: Jurassic Park Video Game Review Special

Do you guys like the color scheme? I always thought the vehicles in the original movie looked cool, so I tried to duplicate their color scheme. I had to be careful to keep it easy to read. On one hand, the green was too pale to make me think of the Explorers, so I'm not sure that it really worked o...

This is the best news... and also, given how long it's going to take, the worst. :x

Re: E3!

Cyberpunk 2077 not only looks like an incredible game but is the perfect antidote to all that vaporwave gunk that's been slopping all over the place these past few years. I can't remember the last time I looked forward to a mainstream release this much.

Re: Jurassic World

....How did you not know that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a novel called The Lost World? It's not exactly obscure. How does someone miss all of this? Not knowing that Doyle wrote The Lost World is like thinking atari is just a term from Go. The Lost World is fairly popular and definitely Doyle's b...

Re: Solo (Spoiler Alert)

I can only go by my own experience, and absolutely positively both Star Wars fatigue and Marvel fatigue are a thing. Solo may be the best SW movie ever made, but I won't know until I finally get around to watching it whenever it become available for free on Netflix or Amazon Prime. I am almost comp...

Re: Solo (Spoiler Alert)

The reason for the public's indifference is very simple, very obvious, and completely unrelated to the film's quality or the production history or Internet trolls or anything else that keeps getting blamed. People weren't interested in the movie's basic idea, which was to present Alden Ehrenreich as...

At least it isn't as big of a tease as the new Micro Machines.

Re: new book! Going too fast?

I would say so. Even the first sentence gets ahead of itself. Maybe "the Sethlan Sea" means something to you as the author, but as a reader, I get no more information from it in this passing mention than I would from "the sea", along with being distracted by the unfamiliar name. ...

Re: 2018/6/3: Saturn: F1 Challenge, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (Japan)

F1 Challenge sounds like the fun kind of bad. Or perhaps even good for a niche crowd? But why is it being compared to sims? It's like giving Crazy Taxi a bad review for reckless driving. Because the game really, really thinks it's one and is drably grounded apart from the dumb arcade physics. It's ...

Re: New Icon Idea - can the game be beat in one sitting?

I like the sentiment, but even NES and SNES era are going to have way too many games with the icon. There's also the matter of difficulty. Plenty of NES games have only an hour or two of actual content but will give you game over after game over before you know them well enough to beat them in one ...
