New Nintendo 3DS XL

The new 3d on the 3ds is really the big sell. The 3d on the old version was awful, as soon as you moved your hands slightly it would go out of focus. The new one fixes his perfectly, it really is awesome. It will make you want to replay your 3ds games with the 3d slider up.

Boring Game Magazine Covers

Just different times now. Most games are realilistic (except for Nintendo), so the magazine covers reflect this. Games in the 80s and 90s were all colourful, cartoony.

I do miss the old mags, especially Gampro from 89-92.

No love for the 32/64 bit generation?

I was around 22 during the height of the Playstation era. I have great memories of playing Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, etc with friends. But, most of the games from that era have aged horribly in my opinion. I tried to play Tomb Raider last year, and I couldn't, it looks awful and ...

2015/3/13: Sega Master System: Penguin Land, Golvellius: Valley of Doom, Aerial Assault

One thing I'm surprised you didn't mention critic is the 3 different gameplays/views it offers. Yes, it has the overhead view, ala Zelda, and the sidescrolling view ala zelda 2, but it also has the vertical views. I thought that was pretty cool and can't think of any action rpgs tha...

Has interest in Atari 2600 collecting died?

I wonder to if it's due to the quality of the games. Let's face it, Atari games are very primitive and I find myself bored of the game after 10 minutes or so. Whereas NES games have much more meat to them.

I was excited to play old Atari games, to bring me back to my ch...

How your gaming changes over the years

[QUOTE=videogamecritic]I would like to echo the sentiments of Rev. This 40-hour workweek is pretty putting a crimp on my gaming! Who invented that?

On one hand I wish I were independently wealthy so I could play/review games all day. On the other hand, if I were I probab...

What if Atari's Pac-Man was better?

[QUOTE=strangemachine01]I know when I played PAC MAN on the 2600 when I was 5-6 years old back in the day I didn't think it was some let down and I clearly remember the arcade version. Nobody else I knew hated it either, then or every few years when I would crack out my old system and play. I loved ...
