Re: A biased articles on why people should get a PS4 and Pro over the Nintendo Switch!

I am sure the critic will not like this article, thoughts about this? It's a very fair article based on facts and aimed at a general audience that can only afford to buy one of the two consoles, preferably the one that guarantees the steadiest stream of relevant releases for the years to come and g...

Re: Musicians ?

I played bass and rhythm guitar in different bands since the late 90s. My latest band split a few years ago and I've been playing solo ever since, just me and the electric guitar. My bands kept splitting because we couldn't find a singer that wasn't a absolute idiot, so eventually I got tired of it,...

Re: Games that have.moved You?

Mh, when I was 14 the idea that videogames could be a legitimate art form was really exciting, but I eventually lost all interest for it. With age, I've come to realise that what I seek in videogames couldn't be further from "art", or at least from the idea of art that most people in the v...

Re: Nintendo Labo

It seems like a really cool idea. But I just gotta wonder why they decided to build it with cardboard instead of something a little more durable. I just don't think that it'll hold up well after heavy use. There's a number of reasons I guess. I believe one is safety - if they did these things in pl...

Re: Should Nintendo move to all digital downloads

I think it's tempting to consider going all-digital for a handheld console because, in theory, you want to carry the system around but don't want to carry multiple games. In practice though, it is useless. You can fit your whole Switch physical library in carrying cases the size of a cassette tape. ...

Re: My job sucks because...

I'm a freelance translator and work in a variety of fields, mostly music related but also videogames. The music audience has shrunk considerably in the last decade, while the gaming audience has quadrupled. My job sucks now because I have to compete with unprofessional and untrained translators who ...

Re: Nintendo Labo

Also from the trailer, it's pretty clear they intend to use it to revive Wii Music. I saw the toy piano, a guitar pedal, a bass drum pedal and that contraption that looks like a bow/boomerang is clearly a trombone.

sorry for the double post!

Re: Nintendo Labo

Actually, it’s interesting that Nintendo went the cardboard route instead of the plastic accessory thing. I’m glad the did, but it’s just a surprising choice. I bet they had a warehouse full of cardboard boxes. Then some guy at Nintendo though it would have been cool to find a way to use them rathe...

Re: Nintendo Labo

I watched the video and the toy piano thing blew me out of the water. It's genuinely one of the nicest things to come out of the videogame world in recent years. That said, for the pricetags of $60 - $80, I do agree they are ridiculous. Videogames do cost $60 - $80 but these are not videogames, ther...

Re: Why do people like RPGs?

Personally, my experience with RPGs - JRPGs in particular - has been mostly negative. Nevertheless, I try and play at least one or two RPGs a year, hoping that something will click somehow but it hardly happens. One thing I dislike is that, to me, it feels like I am playing the same game over and ov...
