2015/4/1: Atari 2600: Cosmic Commuter, Gravitar, 50 Shades of Grey

It's astounding that Dubious Software has managed to stick around for so long! I never found any of their past games any good, and 50 Shades of Grey is an all new low for them!

As far as Atari 2600 developers go, I'll take Spiral Rift Productions over Dubious Software any day!

Zelda: Ocarina of Time (3DS)

Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one of my all time favorite video games, but I can agree that treading from place to place on foot can be annoying. Fortunately, reaching destinations becomes a lot easier once you become Adult Link. Not only do you get a horse, you also gradually unlock Ocarina songs that ...

Sonic Unleashed (Xbox 360)

All the way through?

I finally collected all 180 emblems in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

I really enjoyed mastering the three main gameplay styles and earning A-ranks. I'll admit that the Knuckles/Rouge emerald-hunting stages were not love at first sight for me, but they grew on me, and now I actually kinda enjo...

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric (Wii U)

I'm actually surprised that you like Rise of Lyric so much, because the last time Sonic was turned into a beat 'em up (Sonic Unleashed), you found it boring. You can be quite unpredictable.
<...

Unpopular Gaming Opinions

Nice thread! I love threads that center around the sharing of unpopular opinions, because they always encourage something new to discuss. Sure I could type a few paragraphs on why I love Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but most gamers here have heard about that, and that would get boring.

Now for...

What do developers have against complete button mapping flexibility?
Run was always the Y button for me on this just like with the 2D Mario's. I assume you just got your button letters mixed up, but if not, definitely look for that option. I adapted to it naturally along with using the d-pad.
I double-checked, and it is the Y button to run. ...

What do developers have against complete button mapping flexibility?

This is exactly what ruined Super Mario 64 DS for me. I despised having to hold down the A button to make my character run. The placement of the A Button made it feel awkward to punch enemies. I desperately checked the options menu for an alternate control scheme, but none of the control schemes wer...

Should I start with Arkham City or Arkham Asylum?

Batman: Arkham City is one of my all-time favorites! There's a lot to do in the game, the combat system is excellent, the atmosphere is outstanding, the batman villains are numerous, the gadgets are fun to use, and I could go on. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did Paul123.<img alt="[thumb]" src="/...

2014/4/1: Atari 2600: The Hobbit

Interesting review. I've never seen The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings, but I wasn't aware that a video game of The Hobbit existed, but I may look into this one further.

Now that you got this game out of the way, I wish to recommend Diablo 3 for the ColecoVision. Amazing game! I think it...
