Re: 2016/9/29: Genesis: Shadow Blasters, Risky Woods, James Bond: The Duel

The best 2D spy game ever made is Rolling Thunder 2 (Sega Genesis, 1991). "James Bond: the Duel" is not that bad, but pales in comparison.

Re: 2017/4/12: Game Gear: Quest for the Shaven Yak Starring Ren and Stimpy

What do you think of my latest Game Gear review? I'm thinking about reviewing the Game Gear system soon (finally). It's a terrific game and also a hidden gem. There is also a great Master System version of this game. I think at this point it would be better to review more Game Gear's games than to ...

Re: Early to Mid 90's gaming

I've really been missing the old days lately because I feel like things were very fair. I was too young for the first and second generations. But for me the most important and interesting time in my time following video games was from like 1992-1995. There was so much going on. And most importantly...

Re: Good Superman Game?

I didn't even know about this Genesis Superman game, but now I'm intrigued. For me this Genesis Superman is the spiritual sequel of "Batman: the videogame" (Sunsoft 1990). The platform action has the same mechanics and even the sound effects are the same. Just like Batman, this game has t...

Re: Dormant Sega Franchises

There are so many… Streets of Rage (in 3D) Golden Axe (in the same vein of Lord of the Rings for PS2) Altered Beast (in the same vein of God of War 3) Alex Kidd (in 3D. Sega owe us the last chapter of the original trilogy for almost thirty years! :x ) Beyond Oasis Shining Force Landstalker Monster W...

I miss great split-screen simultaneous co-op games like Toe Jam & Earl and Bonanza Brothers for the Sega Genesis system.

Re: Good Superman Game?

Superman for the Sega Genesis is a good oldschool action game. It's not a showcase for the system, but it's a rock solid game that take advantage of the abilities of the character.

Re: Your Favorite Video Game Soundtracks?

Arnold I would say you are a Genesis fan! Yeah I like him already :D With genial composers like Motoaki Takenouchi, Yuzo Koshiro, Masahiko Yoshimura, Shigenori Kamiya and Masato Nakamura, Genesis/Mega Drive, brought us the best soundtracks ever made. They are in the same level of the soundtracks of...
