Re: Tony Hawk series

Tony Hawk was great! I had it on the Nintendo 64 after it came out. After moving on from the Nintendo 64 to the Dreamcast (that new Sega machine was just the coolest) I repurchased Tony Hawk and was thrilled by the new visuals and full soundtrack. Tony Hawk 2 was purchased shortly after and so many ...

Re: Kids movies that can be enjoyed by adults

There is brief nudity in Monster Squad? Missed that one..I know it's a bit suggested in the scene where Frankenstein's monster snaps a picture of the neighbor..but i'm pretty sure it's never shown. I will agree it has a choice word or two but that was par for the course for 80's flicks. The Goonies ...

Re: Movies You Like That No One Else Does

Howard the Duck - I saw this film as a kid and loved it. Re-watching it lately I've noticed a lot of content that was more aimed at the adult market that I seemingly ignored or didn't catch as a child. Still love this film after multiple viewings. The movie is quirky and weird and has a certain cha...

Re: Movies You Like That No One Else Does

That YouTube link actually has an advantage over the Blu-Ray because it has the original cut of the film (although it's stupidly cropped to widescreen from the already cropped VHS, so you get only a cramped center bit of the picture; better to watch the original rip, which isn't hard to find). The ...

Re: Movies You Like That No One Else Does

Message from Space, Toei's attempt to cash in on Star War's success. Sets look like something from a stage play, mixes almost-Star-Wars-quality FX w/ embarrassing-by-50's-standards FX, and the story is crazier than The Phantom Menace's story, but I still found it fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: Worst Game Titles?

I always thought "The Last Blade 2" was kinda odd (loved the game on Dreamcast though!)

Re: Classic and Retro Gaming Headaches

I don't use my Retron 5 often, so while it hasn't crapped out on me yet I can tell that the build quality is "cheap". I'd say it doesn't surprise me it has broken for others. In regards to the Dreamcast the disc drive seems to be the first thing to die. I've had two Dreamcast's eat it, bot...

Re: Classic and Retro Gaming Headaches

That is definitely a bummer. Just to provide a possible "plan b" option, systems like the Retron 5 allow you to back-up your saves off the cart to the system and do save states directly to the system itself instead of saving to the cart. Being able to save to the systems SD card would get ...
