Re: Way Of The Warrior on 3DO

I remember I was really excited the first time I saw this game, but I confess it was much more because of the White Zombie soundtrack than anything else. I also recall I found the characters to be pretty silly, as well as feeling nauseated with the choppy animation. Anyway, it was interesting, maybe...

Re: The Terminator-Genesis

I remember I was psyched up by the digitized stills of the film, something that was not so common in Genesis games - and when they were present in a game, they generally sucked - which doesn't happen in this game. I found the game to be pretty faithful to the movie's storyline, and the battles again...

Re: Empire Strikes Back (Atari 2600)

When I was a kid I had this cartridge and had lots of fun. But as my Atari 2600 was imported and came with no manual, I thought that the switches on the console would just modify the difficulty, and not the game modes, as it happens sometimes. As a kid I was much better playing this game than I am n...

Re: 2017/2/21: NES: P.O.W., Astyanax

I discovered an arcade version of this game. I just didn't like it Because it lacked the invincibility code? Maybe. LOL :D Just kidding. Nah, it's just not as cool. The same happens to Section Z - I owned a copy as a teen, and played it quite well, being able to beat it. I later discovere...

Re: Dormant Sega Franchises

When I think of this post, several great games of the past come to my mind... there is so much potential in all of them, and they could use this potential to either make awesome remakes or entirely new games based on the franchises. Some that I wish to see enhanced one day are: -Eternal Champions - ...

Re: 2017/1/20: Genesis: Thunder Force III, Atomic Runner

I'm only a casual shooter fan at best, but your high praise for Thunder Force III made me add it to my to-buy list. Loose copies go for about $30 though, so I'll wait for a deal (like $20) since I don't play shooters much. Thanks for the review. I found it even interesting that the Videogamecritic ...

Re: 2017/2/21: NES: P.O.W., Astyanax

I remember playing Astyanax on the NES as a kid, and, although the game was tough, I was able to find an invincibility code to play it through - I believe it spoils the fun, but as a kid, I just didn't mind. I found the game very attractive graphics-wise, and as I grew older and had the chance to pl...
