2015/4/4: Neo Geo: World Heroes, World Heroes 2

I'm also looking forward to the review for Perfect (and of course Metal Slug). I found the graphics gorgeous for all the World Heroes games, and also that the later installments had better gameplay.

Killer Apps that weren't

You're exactly right, you have to have money, and a huge marketing presence. There was an article I remember comparing he Wii U to the Jaguar. In a way, it's right. With how little money Nintendo has put into the Wii U, they could've had a lot of great games and the same thing would have happened. I...

Stupidest Anti-Gaming Accusations?

I agree with how ridiculous it was to imply that violent video games would make someone commit terrible acts of violence. I remember when Columbine happened they made a big stink about it. If anything, these games act as a way to get your aggression out nonviolently. Although, to be honest, games th...

Intimidated/overwhelmed by modern games

I also am overwhelmed by modern games, starting around the late 90s. Once worlds got bigger than something like Goldeneye, it just got to be too much. When I play a game, I like to feel in control and be able to know and see everything there is to be had. And there's a threshold where it just feels ...

Capitalism killing games?

Exactly. You'd think these things, like EA ending the NFL2k series, wouldn't be allowed to happen. In fact, everything that's happened in the industry the last 20 years has gone against what supposedly our ethics are as a society. The monopolization, centralization, HUGE barrier to entry. The elimin...

Capitalism killing games?

Those I-War, Hover Strike kind of games did disappear though. That I think is undeniable.

Capitalism killing games?

How about the fact that certain genres have just disappeared, seemingly been abolished. Interesting early 3d exploration games like Hover Strike CD, I-War were never improved upon, just died. Fast action 2d games like Metal Slug, gone. Advanced 2d Shmups, never happened. The interesting 3d graphics ...

Looking back on the 7th Generation: PS3 vs. XBox 360 vs. Wii

It's for little children. The childish graphics. As a sports fan I wasn't crazy about Wii Sports. It's the same old crap they've been putting out for years.

Looking back on the 7th Generation: PS3 vs. XBox 360 vs. Wii

The Wii sucks. It's not even close to those other systems.

Capitalism killing games?

It all started in late 1995 when the 3do and Jaguar got discontinued. The Neo Geo drastically reduced its North American presence, and everything went to pot. To think, just a couple months before all of this happened, it seemed like video games were in an amazing place.
