Re: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

If you're looking for a good Metal Gear spinoff, I'd highly recommend Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. It's both an excellent character-action game and a love letter to the franchise (PlatinumGames developed it, with Kojima Productions producing)

Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death (PC) — Smokejumper of Sparta

VIDEO REVIEW If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death is one of the most flattering games in recent memory. Thankfully, unlike most B-grade ripoffs of more popular games, Marlow Briggs is actually an entertaining product, thanks to its more than compe...

Gravity Badgers (PC) — Lost in Space

VIDEO REVIEW Gravity Badgers is a physics-based puzzle game. It was originally developed for smartphones in 2012 by Wales Interactive who, as you can tell by their name and the Welsh Dragon on their logo, are obviously from New Jersey. A bog-standard PC port was created in 2013, which is what I pla...

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (GameCube) — Wand Waker

VIDEO REVIEW https://i.imgur.com/NMB2EkD.jpg Next up in our Harry Potter review series is the GameCube version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Re: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (GameCube) — Magically Atrocious

Do you have a favorite Harry Potter book? I read them all, but I thought only The Half-Blood Prince was an actually good book (I liked the rest too, but I'd call them more "fun" than "good"). I never saw the movies, so I can't comment on them. Hmm, I'd have to say Deathly Hallow...

Re: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (GameCube) — Magically Atrocious

Just out of curiosity, why review the GameCube version if it's a bad port? Wouldn't it be more worthwhile to review a better, more representative version and include a warning about this one? I happen to have bought it many years ago, I couldn't find a copy of the PlayStation version for a good pri...

Re: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (GameCube) — Magically Atrocious

Thanks for this review. I had no idea there were all these Harry Potter games. I thought I had everything covered with my two Lego games. Not sure I want to even undertake these others. The games vary in quality, though the GameCube version of Stone happens to be one of the weakest in the series.
