What was your first portable game?

My first portable game was Kirby's Dreamland (along with a brand-new Gameboy) that my aunt gave me for my birthday. I played the hell out of that game. I remember uncovering all the little secrets and challenging myself to beat the game on hard mode in under half an hour. Good times.

Redesigned NES Analogue Nt Now Available for Pre-Order at a whopping $500

The fluff makes this thing unnecessarily expensive. The idea behind the design on the internals is fine, but designing it with a superfluous "luxury" exterior makes it less desirable.

What games are you trying to collect?

I've almost collected every serious title on my Want List. Aside from a couple moderately pricey titles, my remaining list is pretty much just a few big-ticket items:

TurboGrafx 16/CD

Akumajou Dracula X: Rondo of Blood

Final Soldier

Soldier Bl...

Ever take back a game right away?

I bought Mortal Kombat for the Game Boy and returned it later that week.

River City Ransom (NES / 3DS eShop)

Yeah, you definitely need a guide to properly enjoy this game, since the backtracking and optimal purchasing path are pretty much impossible to figure out on your own. However, if you stick with it, I guarantee that your interest in Double Dragon will pay off in the end...not gonna spoil it.

First Gaming Addiction?

My first: Kirby's Dreamland. My aunt bought me a Game Boy and that game for my birthday once, and I played the hell out of that game.

How Old Is Retro?

I generally consider 2 generations back as retro, but it always feels weird to adjust after a new generation launches.

GTA Theory

I tend to skip games in the GTA series anyway. To date, I've only ever played 2 and Vice City, and I only had interest in V out of all the games since Vice came out.

How do my reviews compare?

The reviews tell me what I want to know about a game, and they don't mince words. When you're busy, that's the best kind of review, and you deliver. My only nitpick is that the review composition could sometimes be improved (eg. paragraph structure), but that's it.

Best Way to Store Game Boy cartridges?

You can buy a binder and buy pages with 2.5-inch coin pockets (regular coin pages are about 2 inches and are too small). I've seen these used all over the place at shops.
