If you are still using the vintage game switch box, that's the first thing I would ditch.

Re: Early to Mid 1995

Systems? Sure. Mutually incompatible ones? No. The 80s supported lots of computers, and all different but similar enough where ports were not that large a hurdle. Everyone had Frogger. Yet by the mid 90s, these new systems are just so different. When it gets like that, its going to winnow down. Look...

Re: Colecovision Star Wars: The Arcade Game

I enjoy the 1983 arcade game. Best mid 80s port at the time I have found is on the TI99 of all things. Maybe I will try to record some gameplay and share it.

Re: Scotland! O2 help!

I would look at the RF cable and connections first. If you open it up, you will find the cable is just plugged into a regular jack inside the housing. Its easy to clean or replace the cable. You'll see the O2 cable has very little RF shielding, and its probably even corroded. It may also be bent on ...

Re: Good Computer?

Don't give up on recovering files. I had a Windows 10 crash a few months ago, and there are options to recover files. I have purged my memory of the details of that painful process, but I did get almost everything off on an external hardrive. Then I did a full system factory restore. Good luck on fi...

Re: Governments do not like loot boxes!

Bear claw machines and redemption machines at the arcade also fit this category. Should government ban redemption machines (like skeeball) and bear claw machines too? In the US, those carnival games and arcade redemption games may be regulated by state governments. In one state I am familiar with, ...

Re: Governments do not like loot boxes!

Remember, till the 70's New York banned pinball! Other way around - pinball was 'unbanned' around then in New York, when it was demonstrated to be a game of skill, not chance. It was banned decades before in the 1940s by LaGuardia before the introduction of pinball flippers, and indeed, those earli...

Re: Sears Tele-cade Games

Yeah I'm thinking about adding all the Sears games. The problem is, there's like 50 of them! http://www4.ncsu.edu/~awwatkin/ATARI/2600/AtariSears.html So do I want to add 50 mostly-empty reviews? Now I'm leaning back towards the model of just using the "aka" in a single review. Especially...
