Re: 2018/5/24: Playstation 3: Wonderbook: Walking with Dinosaurs

Thanks for reviewing this. It really shows that motion controls have potential to allow a lot more interactions with a game, or at least very intuitive ones. Brushing off dirt from a fossil is a perfect touch screen or motion control action, as you don't need to be all that precise or quick. Maybe c...

Re: Ted Dabney, Atari Co-Founder, has passed

Dabney designed the circuit board for Computer Space, using Marine Corps electronics training, according to Polygon. I could imagine Bushnell would be a difficult partner to have.

Re: Which would make a more interesting character?

This is neat. It brings to mind a few comics I've read. They are different though, but I thought you'd like to know they exist. 1) Strikeforce Morituri - here Earth has been invaded by aliens, and the technology gap is overwhelming. A few people undergo a process (The Morituri Process) that has a go...

Xbox Controller for Gamers with Disabilities

In the recent thread on motion controlers, it came up that Microsoft has created a new adaptive controller that other assistive devices can be jacked into. Thought it was worth a thread so anyone could find it easier. https://venturebeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/xac-9.jpg?resize=1024%2C665&...

http://segabits.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/mastersystem.jpg If you have ever seen Cartoon Network's Regular Show, the two main characters play a Sega Master System. I like the system. The controller ports are in the front, its a lot more attractive than the NES, and its a top loader.

Re: Getting rid of ding dong ditchers?

You could just wire in a switch in the bell inside itself. Or just unscrew the wires for a few weeks.

Re: Super Retrocade Review

Dave, Have you tried loading any ROMs onto an SD card and popping it in the back? From what I understand, this will work as long as you put the ROMa in a folder titled "retrobit games". I decided to pass on this since I ended up getting my Retropie setup up and running again. Also, it app...

Re: The problem with motion games

https://www.polygon.com/platform/amp/2018/5/17/17363528/xbox-adaptive-controller-disability-accessible There is an article in polygon on Microsoft creating an 'adaptive controller'. Among its features are an array of input jacks to plug in other assistive input devices. Each jack is mapped to a dif...

Re: Obscure Systems

Here's one that I just happened to find whilst browsing through this site during supper time. (had chili for those interested in the details) http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=3&c=1093 Certainly a peculiar looking piece of hardware isn't it? I grew up with the American Odyssey...

Re: Thunder Storms!

Tonight its golf ball hail and so much rain there are road closures for flooding.

Anyone got games to play to play with that? My thought was Breakout on the 2600. At least you get to play the hailstones taking out your roof
