Re: 60 years of Turok

The 90s comic crash is another discussion, but massive crossovers were just the order of the day. Why have great characters like Turok in the past fighting dinosaurs or Magnus, fighting robots in the future, and not put them together - thought just about everyone. Valiant was just one of many that d...

Re: Bosconian clone comming to the Atari 2600!!!

https://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1107 Just thought I'd bump this thread. SpiceWare comes around here once in awhile, and he has made a Bosconian port for the Atari 2600 called Draconian. It looks pretty fun. Its 32K, so no way could this have been made back in the day whe...

Re: Mini Arcade Games

That's a neat idea - these are 4 feet high, 17" screens, so you'll be sitting on a stool to play. That Centipede cabinet art is great. I hope they can make others. At $400 (plus I'm sure S&H), its an option for many a game room.

Re: 60 years of Turok

Finally found an old Turok comic. Fairly fun read, and that cover art is amazing. Here's a gallery of the old covers: http://psychosaurus.com/plain/turokindex.html Thanks for dredging up this old thread. Who doesn't want to be a rugged hero in a world of dinosaurs! The Turok cover art is amazing fo...

If you are still using the vintage game switch box, that's the first thing I would ditch.

Re: Early to Mid 1995

Systems? Sure. Mutually incompatible ones? No. The 80s supported lots of computers, and all different but similar enough where ports were not that large a hurdle. Everyone had Frogger. Yet by the mid 90s, these new systems are just so different. When it gets like that, its going to winnow down. Look...

Re: Colecovision Star Wars: The Arcade Game

I enjoy the 1983 arcade game. Best mid 80s port at the time I have found is on the TI99 of all things. Maybe I will try to record some gameplay and share it.

Re: Scotland! O2 help!

I would look at the RF cable and connections first. If you open it up, you will find the cable is just plugged into a regular jack inside the housing. Its easy to clean or replace the cable. You'll see the O2 cable has very little RF shielding, and its probably even corroded. It may also be bent on ...

Re: Good Computer?

Don't give up on recovering files. I had a Windows 10 crash a few months ago, and there are options to recover files. I have purged my memory of the details of that painful process, but I did get almost everything off on an external hardrive. Then I did a full system factory restore. Good luck on fi...
