Re: Street Fighter 30th Anniversary

Critic, if you want the best d-pad for the Nintendo Switch, please try getting the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pro Controller as that is the definitive version of the Nintendo Switch d-pad and should be way more comfortable then the digital pad on the joy-cons. You can get it at best buy the store or on...

Re: Street Fighter 30th Anniversary

What's wrong with the d-pad on the Pro Controller? If you don't have that, you probably should pick it up since it's a favorite of many Switch owners when playing on their television. And if you don't like that, there are multiple alternatives like the Hori pad, various 8BitDo controllers like their...

Re: Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)

I still love Super Mario 64 and replay it regularly. The game still controls beautifully, the worlds are interesting and varied, the music is great, etc. And if you fire it up on the Wii or Wii U Virtual Console, it can even still look good. The game is rendered in 480p versus 240p on the original h...

Re: Popeye (NES)

Been playing this a lot lately and wanted to add my praise. I also believe I've picked up on a noteworthy difference after firing up MAME a few minutes ago. I'm not seeing the Sea Hag that materializes on the side of the screen to throw a bottle at you. http://www.arcade-museum.com/images/118/118124...

Re: Midway Arcade Origins

GameStop also has the Midway Arcade level pack for $14.99, which is a 50% discount.

Walked out of a GameStop yesterday with the starter package and the Midway Arcade level pack for $35. Not bad, especially considering the $99.99 MSRP that the starter kit released at.

Re: External HDD PS4 / PS3 Question

I don't believe that's possible on the PS3. I think it will be limited to media, game saves, and the like.

Re: All these daggone wires!

Are the outlets on that spaced far enough apart for big AC adapters?

If not, how do you work around that?

Re: Midway Arcade Origins

Looks like the last gen versions and the Wii U SKU will be $19.99 at GameStop on Black Friday. The PS4/XB1 versions are $10 more. Doubt this ever gets any cheaper new. Hopefully the Midway and Portal level packs can be had cheaply to get all the games that I want (The Midway pack has most of the gam...

Re: Atari Max cartridges?

One is under development. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/254003-upcoming-jaguar-sd-cartridge/page-1 I haven't been following closely, but last I saw months ago, it's even going to support the playing of Jaguar CD images without an expensive and fragile Jaguar CD attached to the console (Thanks to ...

Re: Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Game Boy)

Great game. I almost never 100% a game by doing every last thing I could possibly do, but I happily did for A Link Between Worlds and was sad to finish it after 30 hours. A Link Between Worlds actually was the first Zelda I achieved 100% completion on despite having enjoyed the series for decades. I...
