Re: Bases Loaded (NES)

Boston was my favorite team, what's was yours? Boston as well. Norkus was an absolute beast. Back when I was a kid, I called him "Norkus Dorkus", which for some reason my neighbor got a kick out of. Yesterday we had a real estate agent tour our townhouse that we're getting ready to sell. ...

I've been looking for a good Zelda-like game, would this be something along those lines?

Cool Boarders 2 (Playstation 1)

This is a neat-o little game! I'm sure we've all heard of Cool Boarders around here, and I remember awhile ago I posted about games you can play for ten minutes. Cool Boarders 2 is definitely one of them. Took me some time to get the hang of doing all the tricks and controls, but I got it before too...

Haha, well the other night, it was after a tobacco pipe and a glass of Jameson.

Nice to see how much they've improved the umpire saying "Yer out!" since "World Championship Baseball" on the Intellivision.

Re: Standard Def 4:3 TVs

Yeah, thought I'd bring this up again, since I recently figured out a ghetto-rigged way to get my CRT and surround sound all in one room. I like to have my cake and eat it too. Nothing beats a CRT for classic games. You can have all your converters, all your Framemeisters, but nothing beats a good o...

Re: How does your wife/significant other/mom deal with your video games?

So the other day I'm at the dentist about to get some fillings when my wife calls me. My nephew was over, and wanted to play MLB: The Show. He's a White Sox fan, so I probably should have said no, but hey, he's 12. I played nice. Anyway, the reason she called was to have me tell her how to get out o...

Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Sega Master System)

What a stupid, asinine game this is! The first level is all I had the patience to play, and it's mostly guessing games and memorizing what's in each block. Is it a money bag, or is it the Grim Reaper, from whom you cannot get away from. Oh, and I love the game of rock/scissors/paper that decides whe...

Re: Framemeister Review

The XRGB is one of my favorite gaming accessories. Yes, this thing is quite nice if you don't have the space for a CRT, and you can get the picture looking fairly good. But it's never the same. My conclusion is that the best way to play is on a CRT, and the Framemeister is a distant second. Althoug...

I suppose the fruit punch we gave the kids wouldn't quite cut it?
