Re: The problem with motion games

Wii games don’t have the problems he’s describing. On Wii you plug in the sensor bar one time and you’re never again asked to do any setup. The only exception might be the few motion plus games as I seem to recall that has some calibration.

Re: Doom (4) on Switch

I couldn’t play this with the joycons; I found the joysticks really uncomfortable. But I think it’s great with the pro controller. The multiplayer is okay, nothing special, but the single player is really well done.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night survey!

I haven’t played Mighty Number 9 but Yooka Laylee is great and anyone expecting anything other than what they got simply had unrealistic expectations. It was basically Banjo Kazooie for current systems which is exactly what they promised. I think it’s pretty silly to think that games are held back w...

Re: 2018/4/7: Nintendo Switch: Axiom Verge

It also seems like he’s knocking the game for a hardware problem. If the game gets an A+ with the pro controller I say it deserves an A+. Doom is pretty awful to play with the joycons but a lot of fun with a controller. I wouldn’t give it a C because the joycons are uncomfortable. I’d give it an A b...

Re: Recommend some Podcasts

Comedy Bang Bang and How did this get made are both hilarious. Comedy Bang Bang is sort of a mix of improv and talk show. Very goofy. You probably need to listen to a few episodes to really get it. Most episodes have one real guest, various actors, musicians and comedians, and multiple “guests” that...

Re: God of War (PS4)

For everyone who likes a game there is one who does not. Sorry I have to call this out. Your made-up aphorism isn’t even true. Way more people like god of war than don’t. There’s not one person who doesn’t like it for everyone that does. If that was true than all games are just mediocre and no game...

Re: New Xbox One games to review?

Cuphead is one of my favorite games of all time after one playthrough. You absolutely have to get it even though it’s download only.

Re: Xbox One backwards compatiility

I’m very happy about Panzer Dragoon Orta. I don’t have my original Xbox hooked up so I don’t play it much. That’s one of my favorite games.

Re: Doom for the Switch

From 60fps to 30fps is a huge difference, but like with all the other differences, if you haven't played the other versions it won't make any difference to you. Maybe this is just me, but not once in my life have a played a game and thought, thank god this is 60fps. I don’t know that I could tell b...

Re: Doom for the Switch

Ha, when I first saw this topic title - "doom for the Switch" - I misread it, thinking it was going to be the Critic telling us why the Switch is doomed. Close call... As for the game... Another downside - the Game Informer review noted that the graphics in the Switch version are a notice...
