Re: Slow or Fast Combat?

I too suffer from slow reflexes. I don’t know if I’m particularly good at any combat, but certainly I have the hardest time with games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. I must have died 1000 times playing Bayonetta on normal difficulty.

Re: Issue with PS2 reading PS1 games

Is this an original model “fat” PS2? If so, maybe cleaning the laser will hope but most likely you will need to open it up and adjust the level of the laser. I did this about 12 years ago. I googled it and I think I followed this exact guide: https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2003/11/ps2-repair-guide/ ...

Re: A problem of using DLC codes!

I was just about to preorder Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 for Switch and then saw that the first one came on a cart and the second one was a download code. I already have digital copies of Mega Man 9 and 10 and the Mega Man Anniversary collection with Mega Man 1-8. I wanted this physical so I’d ...

Re: Times the VGC steered you right... or wrong

I got Vice: Project Doom based on your review; that’s a fantastic game. Generally I check your reviews any time I’m looking at 2600 games. Anything in my collection that isn’t a well known arcade port or a licensed novelty is based on your reviews. I can think of plenty of cases of me disagreeing wi...

Re: Governments do not like loot boxes!

Not to get into too political a discussion, but I am not a fan of loot boxes, but am less of a fan of government handling something that should be left to parents and markets. It was not the law that removed loot boxes from Star Wars Battlefront; it was the market. It is not really the law that kee...

Re: Governments do not like loot boxes!

I always found it ridiculous when politicians made a big deal of video game violence, but I’m totally on board with this. The only thing that separates loot boxes from gambling is you actually have a chance of benefiting from gambling. I’ve never bought a loot box and have no intention to but I thin...

Re: Inverted camera controls?

I used to play inverted because that’s how all the earlier first person games defaulted and I was used to it. I know I played a Halo 2 inverted. But I got tired of updating the menu and switched to using the default in games. I can still do inverted if I go play an old game though; it never bothers ...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey

I just 100 percented the game a week ago. Took about two months. Wow, some of the moons are hard to find. Also, some of the Dark Side challenges (with no hat) are almost impossible to complete. I didn’t have a problem with the dark side challenges, but the volleyball is giving me fits. Highest I ma...
