Re: Receipts tucked into games

Found a toys r us receipt in the case of Quackshot for Genesis. I was shocked that it even had a case given that I ordered it from GameStop

Re: Worst Types of Levels?

I always hated water levels as a kid. I was scared of drowning in Sonic and just had trouble controlling it in Mario. Call me crazy but I enjoy them now. They offer a nice change of pace. I don’t like elevator scenes with waves of bad guys in newer games. I never particularly loved them in older gam...

Re: Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)

Well, I'll reiterate it's a great game, that's true. But, Bom Bom Battlefield is a great level. I think that it's quality is the reason it was the first level. I'd go with an A- I’ve played through Mario 64 probably over 50 times and I could see selecting Bob-omb Battlefield as a favorite level. Gr...

Re: Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)

I take 64 over Sunshine. I enjoy Sunshine but I still find it feels clumsy with the jet pack even after playing it a dozen times. Also Sunshine has cool big worlds but I prefer having a bunch of smaller worlds in 64. Plus Sunshine feels more padded with the blue coins

It’s a solid game. The best power is Ice plus Electric. Go fridge!

Re: Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)

Played a bit last night. Definitely have to juggle with the camera a bit but I still think it is a great game and deserving of an A relative to other games on the N64

Either I’m not understanding what you’re saying or you haven’t played it in a while; Popeye has three levels.

Re: All these daggone wires!

I like your system Retro Strife. I actually take it even further. I’ve got a 7 month old crawling around and can no longer just have 20 systems hooked up to a tv. So, I bought a bunch of clear plastic storage bin and put each console, along with its controllers and cords, into its own bin. They all ...

Re: 2017/11/10: Nintendo 3DS: Metroid: Samus Returns

When you say the d-pad doesn’t work it sort of gives the impression the developers just arbitrarily didn’t allow the d-pad to be used. But there are 4 powers that are mapped to the d-pad buttons, so they really didn’t have enough buttons to give that option. That seems like it could be more clear in...

Re: Good Computer?

I personally think that buying a computer with a ton of hard drive space (that one has 2TB) is a huge ripoff. Hard drive space is easily upgradable, even if you don't want to open up the pc you can get an external hard drive for cheap, and it's overpriced when you buy it included with the PC. I boug...
