Re: Atari VCS is a scam!

So I should not take YouTubers for grant then? Some of them are sensationalist, remember it’s about number of views for them to make money. It’s the video equivalent of click bate. That’s not to say there aren’t some valid opinions on YouTube because they are, just remember some tubers are just abo...

Re: Atari VCS is a scam!

To try and be balanced there is a lot of rumour swirling around. Some game commentators on YouTube are sometimes akin to gaming versions of SJW’s always looking for a crusade or something to get up in arms about. They are NOT a source of citation.

Let’s wait and see is my humble opinion.

Re: High Score Book

I have a game book but only use it for retro games to track my high scores as I generally play a score based game enough times to fill a page.

Also use it for passwords and making notes :D

Re: So when did home video games become "Arcade Perfect?"

I would go for Dreamcast as well. The earlier generations usually got out stripped by the arcade fairly soon.
Space Harrier and Hang on were released in 1985 and they couldn’t be accurately recreated until the 5th gen never mind 3rd gen that they were released in.

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

Another problem: this game has scared me away from ever trying Peace Walker, even though I know Peace Walker is better. Peace Walker is definitely an evolution from this game which fixes many of this games wrongs. But I still didn’t connect with it as much as the numbered games in the series. But u...

Re: Sega CD Soulstar

This is a game that demands a time investment to get the most from it. At first you will be amazed with the graphics and presentation it could easily pass for a 32-bit title. Then you will grow frustrated at the copter controls and seemingly steep difficulty curve the game has. Eventually though it ...

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

After getting Metal Gear withdrawal symptoms since Phantom Pain. I’ve decided to check out some of the ‘side’ stories (Gaiden ?) in the MGS game library. Playing portable ops on the Vita. Echoing much of the above reader review, I enjoy the bite size missions, the game is definitely a proto Peace Wa...

Always enjoy a Sega review, might give this another go dismissed it when I first played after two waves.

It’s a shame there is hardly any videos of Sega’s electro-mechanical games they are big beasts.

Re: Anyone still favor "wired" controllers?

Oh god hell no.
No kids/pets tripping over the wires, kicking back on the sofa not worrying if sat close enough. Controllers not getting tangled together, no hornets nests of wires when playing multiplayer.

They are something I definitely do not miss.
