Re: Missing Atari 2600 Reviews?

I know these qualify as ultra-rare, but I'd still like to know your opinion on them: BOMB games. https://www.atariage.com/company_page.html?CompanyID=10&SystemID=2600&SystemFilterID=2600 So far only Atari HQ and Tomorrow's Herors have reviewed one, and they have remarkably different opinion...

Re: Halloween Games?

Dr. Hauzer, a survival horror game, was recently fan-translated for the 3DO. In fact it's the only 3DO fan translation! I'd love to see a review of that one. (Critic, PM me if you want to know where to find it.)

PAL version of Airlock (Atari 2600) dumped; has upgraded graphics -- plus a nasty bug

Data Age's Airlock is a fairly well-known game, and unlike most people (including the Critic) I've always kind of liked it in a "poor man's underwater Pitfall" kind of way. But I had no idea that the PAL version was significantly different, and apparently hadn't been dumped until now: http...

Re: 2017/9/22: Jaguar: Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure

Glad to see the wave of Pitfall reviews (and re-reviews) begin! I hope you'll be able to review the Sega CD version -- that one gets the best reviews from the Pitfall:TMA aficionados I know.

Re: 2017/9/4: 3DO: Twisted The Game Show

Always glad to see more 3DO reviews, even if it's a re-review. I remember having a modest amount of fun with one of these sorts of games on the 3DO, but I don't recall if it was this or Zhadnost. (Probably it was Zhadnost.)

ThePixelatedGenocide, there's always room for disagreement about this stuff, but you don't need to repeat "The 3DO was badly designed" over and over again to us as though you're lecturing a roomful of idiots. Please be civil and courteous; it's not like the world needs more of the opposite...

Re: 2017/8/12: Super Nintendo: Unholy Night: The Darkness Hunter

Unholy Night looks pretty awful, I'm sorry to say. Kid Shoryuken on YouTube has a scathing review of it, which I found out about via his review of Shubibinman Zero, another recent release (though dating from 1997) that seems like a far more rewarding game.

Re: Nokia N-Gage/Tapwave Zodiacs it the Sega 32X/3DO/Atari Jaguar of portable gaming?

But according to Digital Foundry John Linneman, he said the 3DO had trouble with 2D games at 60FPS which was unusual at the time because of the frame buffer issues, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ni13xjHvwu4 95% of 2D games during that era where 60FPS FYI. So that meant the 3DO hardware was diffic...

Re: Nokia N-Gage/Tapwave Zodiacs it the Sega 32X/3DO/Atari Jaguar of portable gaming?

3. Even though the N-Gage and Zodiacs handhelds where more powerful, they where all more difficult to program for then the GBA/DS/PSP which where much easier to program for/had better optimized hardware. The same thing was for the 32X/3DO/Jaguar compared to the SNES/Genesis/PS1/N64, etc. That's not...
