Getting rid of ding dong ditchers?

One of the neighborhood brats has decided it's funny to ring my doorbell and wake me up multiple times every night, but I don't know who he is or where he lives so I can't file a complaint to the landlord or call the police. Someone said I could disable the doorbell entirely, but I don't like the id...

Nostalgiafix Retropies?

A friend showed me this website where you can buy Raspberry Pis with tons of games on them, but after the Critic's incident buying an emulator online I'm wary. Does anybody know anything about this company? Does the hardware work? Do the games run okay?

I did indeed end up moving, but unfortunately it turns out they have a one animal limit.

Re: Thunder Storms!

I can think of specific levels in video games that are thunderstorm themed. Like Lightning Lookout in Donkey Kong Country 3. There's also Persona 4, where a serial killer uses thunderstorms to kidnap and murder people.

A survival horror game might also fit the atmosphere nicely!

How to break a game

Have you ever found a way to, for good or bad, break a game? I haven't done this personally, but I was listening to a podcast where one of the hosts said they attacked the depressed knight in Dark Souls' firelink shrine. Since the knight is undead, and he's sitting right next to the bonfire, he resp...

Re: Barnes and Nobles and Amazon

I look at this the same way I do the warnings that ebooks would put paper books out of business. Sure there will be a lot of people who switch over, but once the initial wave of excitement dies down there'll still be plenty of traditional stores left over. That wave may last longer since Amazon has ...

Re: 3G/4G dongles?

I already pay over $100 for my phone plan (also paying off the new phone) every month, and tethering and making it a hotspot would add another $20 a month to it.

Re: My declining interest in modern video games.

When I took up writing I found myself losing interest in video games as well. Not entirely (not even close!) but where as a kid I could literally do nothing but play video games from the time I got up to the time I went to bed... yeah that desire is long gone. It's still not odd for me to play an ho...
