Re: Computer Games 1998-2000

By 1993 I was playing football, racing, and baseball simulations with such sophistication and depth that it made those games on a certain early 90's Nintendo system look ridiculous, the Genesis is a different story obviously because it held its own with sports games. I played NHLPA 93' for the compu...

Re: The Crew 2 game review

I think it's been discussed before whether things were different in the mid 90's. I distinctly remember in Gamepro a lot of games getting bad reviews; it was usually one of the most interesting reviews of the issue, with jokes being made about how bad the game is. I guess there's the possibility eve...

Computer Games 1998-2000

In 2000, I had a roommate who played computer games. They were really nice looking too. I was into video games at the time, as I had stopped playing computer games. But I had noticed that around mid 2000, computer games were way more advanced than video games, especially because the PS2 hadn't come ...

Re: Arcades, Game Rooms, & the Like.

I loved arcades. One of my favorite memories was playing Mortal Kombat 2 on vacation in 1993. I wasn't around for the golden age of arcades. But 1993-1995 was pretty freaking good.

Re: 2018/7/1: Sega CD: Stellar-Fire, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure

The thing with Dynamix is they were amazing with sports games. They're a pretty legendary developer. It's a shame this game doesn't look good. I have noticed that the 3do game got a good grade. There are a lot of mid to late 90's interesting looking mech and FPS games released by Dynamix for the com...

Re: Jurassic World

I loved Jurassic World in the theater. However, when I saw it a few months later I barely enjoyed it. I agree that the original is just as enjoyable, if not more, as it was in 1993. The second and third movies are decent; definitely worth watching.

This is ridiculous. Come on, let's stop ignoring the giant elephant in the room, which is that there's fanboys that want every RPG to get an A+. I think DaHeck's review is one of the most I learnt reviews on the site and by far the most important for the RPG crew. I wasn't looking forward to the new...

Re: Neo Geo (Simple games)

Beating a game without using continues is what it's all about. Arcade games are really hard and it's so rewarding beating them without dying or using a continue. I've spent months on individual 8 and 16 bit games, including Neo Geo games, trying to beat them without dying, and when I did, it was as ...

Neo Geo (Simple games)

I was reading reviews for the Neo Geo games on the Switch and at least one reviewer wrote something like, even those these games are old and simple, with not nearly enough content to keep someone interested, they might be worth paying $8 for. Ok, so Neo Geo games are what, archaic, and totally not w...

Re: is it worth it to buy the nintendo switch now ?

I'll be getting a Switch in the coming weeks. It will be my first "new" purchase since the Nintendo 64. Of course I'm leaving out the Wii and PS2, both of which I got (the Wii was a present) years after they came out. Whether it counts or not, I'm treating it as my first new system since t...
