I was reading reviews for the Neo Geo games on the Switch and at least one reviewer wrote something like, even those these games are old and simple, with not nearly enough content to keep someone interested, they might be worth paying $8 for. Ok, so Neo Geo games are what, archaic, and totally not w...

I'll be getting a Switch in the coming weeks. It will be my first "new" purchase since the Nintendo 64. Of course I'm leaving out the Wii and PS2, both of which I got (the Wii was a present) years after they came out. Whether it counts or not, I'm treating it as my first new system since t...
I think planned in 1994 and opened in 1997 pretty much sums up what the problem was. Of course the article mentions how Sony is the cutting edge of video games in 1997, so much so that you don't need to leave the house.

Because every RPG should get an A+, right? How about, it was a very good review that shows it's not just about, I don't know, perhaps a random fanboy giving every RPG an A+?
Fair enough. I will say this. Music in the late 90's was better than where video games were headed. There was some good rock, and pop was a million times better than it is now. I'm not saying their aren't great albums released. Some artists that I like to name a few are Noel Gallagher's High Flying ...
I'll go as far as to say music's sucked since the 90's. But I won't put that whole decade on a pedestal. The last half of the 90's sucked. There were basically no great rock albums released after 1995, and rock declined to the point that it became a joke. Rock from '96-'99 is a joke.
Pilot Kids cracks me up. I can't believe there's a side scrolling shmup on the Model 2. That just sounds good. I remember to add arcades and computer games like FPSFP '95 when thinking about those days
These are the best graphics ever. It was the absolute apex of colorful graphics and was part of what made arcades great in the last time arcades were popular. Apparently the technology was so advanced that it was designed by the United States military. I read that it took years for consoles to equal...

What's interesting is that music went downhill just about the same time as video games. Rock's last hurrah was '91-'94 maybe '95 if you're stretching it. There were some solid albums released in the late 90's, especially metal albums. 1) Nevermind - I'm not too stuck up or "different" to n...

I'm holding on to faint hope that Zero-5 is a great game. But sadly even less that Phase Zero is (or even playable). And I'm not spending my retirement fund on either. Oh gosh if they just had one more cycle of games.
