Re: The Ataribox is now...

I can't see this being confusing in the slightest. Also, that modern controller looks awfully tacky.

Re: Super Smash Bros announced for Switch

I initially said that it's more likely that this is a port of 4 than a new game, but there's actually plenty of fairly solid proof that this is a new game: - The logo is different from 4, and Nintendo has historically made it very clear when their games are ports and when they are new games. - The p...

Re: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy coming to the Nintendo Switch/Xbox One and PC this July 10!

The PS4 version was my first time playing these games.

Hopefully by now they've fixed the collision detection issues that a lot of people complained about when the PS4 version first came out.

Super Smash Bros announced for Switch

Title says it all. The only concrete information that has been revealed in the Nintendo Direct that announced it today are that it is coming out this year and that it will feature the Inklings from Splatoon as playable characters. No word yet on whether it's an enhanced port of the Wii U version or ...

The Oregon Trail now available as a dedicated handheld

https://www.polygon.com/2018/3/6/17086674/oregon-trail-handheld-game-target-exclusive-price-availability (Please excuse the fact that this is from Polygon) I've never actually played this legendarily famous edutainment game before (though I've played quite a bit of a fanmade remake involving zombies...

Re: Should Nintendo move to all digital downloads

Absolutely not, and I suspect virtually every other regular on these forums would concur. I've digitally downloaded more than my fair share of games on the current generation of systems including the Switch, but in virtually all of those cases it was because they weren't available in physical form o...

Re: Rodea: The Sky Soldier (Wii)

I bought this game the day it came out specifically because I believed it would become rare and valuable one day due to its obscurity (it came out on the same day as Fallout 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider, for crying out loud). Sadly, the game itself isn't that great, though it's worth noting that th...

Re: Nintendo Is Being a Little Too Quiet

What I find interesting is that Nintendo can release all these Wii U ports, and a lot of fans are ok with it, with some actually being excited to play games they’ve played before. I just find it amazing how we could go months without brand new titles for the switch, but if we get 3 or 4 ports that’...

Re: Celeste (Switch)

My only real complaints center around the controls. It probably has more to do with the joycons, but I found that, far too often, I would dash in one direction when I pressed in a different direction. I always use the D-pad for platformers like this for precisely this reason and didn't have any iss...

Re: 2018/2/10: Nintendo Switch: Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

If anything, this game is proof that ideas that sound bad on paper can still be executed well.

No clue why they didn't make any effort to cross over with Rayman too though considering the Rabbids first appeared in a Rayman game.
