Re: 2017/11/12: Playstation 4: Undertale

Any differences over the PC and PS4 versions worth noting? There are a few, the most major of which are arguably spoilers, but the *vast* majority of the game is unchanged. There are a couple parts in the game I thought would only ever work on a PC, but the PS4 version handles them well. I think I ...

Re: A New Bubsy Game...

Honestly, what annoys me about this new Bubsy game is that, looking at reviews and videos, barely anything has changed from the original games besides the graphics. The developers had their chance to take this game in literally any direction they wanted without upsetting Bubsy's nonexistent fanbase,...

Super Mario Odyssey

I really shouldn't give too much away about this game, because it's full of surprises that are far more effective if you discover them on your own, but suffice it to say that every single Switch owner needs to go out and get this game immediately. It's an absolute blast to play and really does feel ...

Re: Sweet Home (Famicom)

Very few if any Famicom games are in English, but there are plenty of English reproduction NES carts for Sweet Home floating around online. You should probably point out in the review that it's an unofficial translation.

Keep in mind this is probably the highest rating the remake has ever gotten.

Neither, and I think there should be an icon dedicated to updated remakes like this (or at least I get the impression it is).

Re: Cuphead (Xbox One)

Have it. Hate it. I hate to be "that guy" but I can't STAND this game. Sure, the art style is wonderful. But that is IT. That's ALL it has going for it is nice art. Otherwise, it's just an overly cheap (Not hard. Just cheap. Mega Man style trial and error bullcrap.) shooter that can't hol...

Re: SNES Classic Announced

The only game I'm not enjoying so far is Kirby's Dream Course. Maybe it was cooler back then when physics engines weren't as common, but I can't find the appeal of it in this day and age. It's definitely the weirdest inclusion on the system, but I think it's a clever Kirby-themed take on golf and i...

Re: SNES Classic Announced

Got mine yesterday, and emulation is spot-on. Passing up Chrono Trigger for Super Ghouls n' Ghosts is...a baffling decision, to say the least, but the vast majority of the games range from good to brilliant. Star Fox 2 is more of a historical curiosity than anything else, and it's unlikely you'll re...

Cuphead (Xbox One)

As many of you are probably already aware, this is a run-and-gun game in the vein of Contra and Gunstar Heroes with a 1930's cartoon aesthetic, not to mention one that provides a stiff challenge. I have yet to complete it yet, but what impresses me about Cuphead is that it perfectly nails the spirit...
