Re: PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (Xbox One)

I’ve watched others play it on Twitch, and it looks like a ton of fun, but very challenging, and I imagine it takes quite a bit of time to be able to stay alive long enough to enjoy it. And even then, there is definitely a level of luck involved. I imagine the mouse and keyboard combo works better t...

Re: The Switch as throwback gaming for adults

I can relate. I tend to play in 30 minute bursts, and I really like my 2DS because I can play quietly after everyone is asleep and I’m not chained to a TV. But I never used it outside the home, aside from bringing it on business trips (hotels). Switch appeals to me, but I’m not ready to purchase one...

Re: 2009/11/29: Wii: Dead Space: Extraction, New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Question:

How do people feel about NSMBWii when compared to the Wii U sequels?

Re: Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)

Mario 64 was simple. To get 100% completion, get 6 stars (or was it 7?) per level and pick up a few hidden ones around the castle. Two of the stars in each world were collecting 8 red coins and 100 gold coins. Not a hard concept. Some stars were well hidden or more challenging, some super easy. Not...

BEst level? My first thought was the desert one with the pyramid, so I’ll stick with that.

Re: Top 50 Console Games List REVISED!

I just cannot agree with you that Mario Odyssey is the greatest game of all time. I am not even sure if it would make my top 20 or 30. I fun read but I am not buying it. Lol. I don’t think he’s selling it. Have you played Odyssey? I haven’t but everyone I’ve talked to that has said that despite its...

Re: Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)

Quick question: 64 vs Sunshine? Sunshine came out on the next console, with more polish, but would you say it’s a better game or has aged “better”? 64 (and Sunshine) is EXTREMELY popular in the Speedrunning community. Galaxy not so much, but oddessy is starting to take over. https://youtu.be/5qM278Y...

CURIOus. Why Double Dash over MK8?

Great list , though I definitely expected to see Super Metroid or Prime on there somewhere.

Re: 2009/11/29: Wii: Dead Space: Extraction, New Super Mario Bros. Wii

I got my hands on a Wii and picked this up as the first game. This thread is great. I have two kids, and this is the first Mario game they’ve played, and I can tell that they are having just as much fun as I did 25 years ago with SMB3 and SMW. And that’s what it’s all about. For them, it gets an A+ ...

Re: Dark Souls Relaxing?

Really hard games require your total focus, and that IS relaxing, as it’s a break from real life everyday grind and mental stress. Instead of doing mental multitasking, your brain is focused on one thing at a time. I believe that is indeed relaxing.
