Re: Got me a SWITCH!

Also I’m kind of surprised at all the parents who let their young kids play. Maybe it’s the 36 year old papaw in me, but 3 and 5 year’s old seems WAY to young to get into video games. I work with kids (specifically developmentally delayed kids and kids with autism), and I have to say, other than a ...

Re: Online Gaming is a mess

YEAH my brother was telling that he was planning to get the Elite version of Battlefront 2 because you have upgraded abilities. That blew my mind....2 versions of the same game depending on how much you pay?!?! What about the integrity of the actual game (using skill)? Booooo

Re: iPhone X

Agreed, like anything else, it’s how you use it. Mine is a tool, and aside from keeping me busy while on the throne (such as now), lol, I don’t really see it as entertainment. It IS BAD for people that don’t feel they can function without it or have no other hobbies. And you’re right, there are quit...

Re: Got me a SWITCH!

Ya I am really enjoying Mario Odyssey but I am not sure if it warrants all the perfect 10's I have been seeing on various review sites. Take away the mustache and rename him Jim, and everyone would change their scores to 9's. Fair point, but that’s the same with any franchise with a positive histor...

Re: 2017/11/10: Nintendo 3DS: Metroid: Samus Returns

I was super hyped about SR, as Super Metroid is my favorite game of all time. I thought SR was really well done and "a proper sequel " is a great description. I also struggled with the controls as sometimes I needed to use/hold the analog stick, a face button, and both shoulder buttons at ...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey

That's a good point. Mario has never tried to be Ninja Gaiden or Battletoads. It's aimed at Nintendo's widest market and successfully appeals to just about everyone. And just FYI, the Speedrunning communities for 64 and Sunshine are VERY active, with multiple catagories (no hover Sunshine, for examp...

Re: iPhone X

No way. I hang onto my phones until they die. Currently on a iPhone 6 (not plus). If I had to get another one, it would probably be the CE. Even the 6 feels too big for me still, and I have no idea how users of the plus sizes carry those things around. I'm not into the minor upgrades (slightly bette...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey

All depends how you look at it. For a 3D exploration Mario, it could be the best one. For a challenging platforming Mario, it's still SMB3. :) I'm not a huge fan of 3D games but I did enjoy Mario 64, and to a minor extent, Sunshine; headaches and all. So I'm tempted by this, but will still pass on a...
