Using original hardware upscaled via Framemeister may have less lag than emulation. I don't know.

Also, N64 emulation still isn't very good.

Re: First Generation Gaming

I've never played the original Odyssey but it looks like 99.9% of its appeal was the novelty of manipulating objects on a TV screen. The light gun/rifle looks pretty neat though. The gun games could be amusing for a bit.

Re: 2017/11/14: Atari 2600: Assembloids 2600

It's nice to see innovative titles still being released on a 40 year old system.

I'm not a fan of the title. It makes one expect an Asteroids clone.

Re: Ikari Warriors (Atari 2600)

I find it funny that the 2600 version already sounds better than the NES port. It's a shame how Ikari Warriors on the NES turned out. There are similar games on the system such as Heavy Barrel and Jackal that are far better. On the other hand, being able to beat NES Ikari Warriors without the conti...

Re: Gran Turismo Sport OUTRAGE!

You guys all know how I've railed against online requirements in general but especially in single player modes. I think the situation has finally reached a head. My friend Brent is a car nut and certified Gran Turismo fanatic. He had been putting off purchasing a PS4 until a GT game was available. ...

Re: 2017/10/9: Playstation 4: Night Trap 25th Anniversary Edition

If the grade is relative to other PS4 games then it's amazing that an early 90s FMV title even gets such a high grade compared to a top tier modern console's library. FMV is one of those genres that first comes to mind when you think of games that have not aged well.

Re: Night Trap 2017 (PS4)

I showed this to my buddy Brent who is about 15 years younger than me. I didn't think he would really "get it" but he did! He really enjoyed it! He said it was really original and the 2nd best PS4 game he's played (other than Rocket League). Then I showed him the documentary with the Sena...

Those other channels became that way in order to be competitive. The same would probably eventually happen to this channel. Network decay sucks.

This might be reason to get a Switch. I haven't bought a new Nintendo console since the N64.
