Re: Xbox One X Review

Thanks for the review! I really hate the “most powerful system ever” tagline Microsoft uses. The PS4 Pro was the most powerful console ever last year, the regular PS4 was the most powerfule console ever in 2013, etc. It’s such an Xboxy thing to brag about. My problem with Xbox is what it’s always be...

Re: What is your Holy Grail?

I would love to play Panzer Dragoon Saga but I just checked the prices and it’s a little out of control. I swear maybe 7-8 years ago you could get a complete copy for $200, but now they’re three times the price. If I ever were to buy it, I’d probably just sell it after I was finished and recoup my l...

Re: iPhone X

Face ID works well. Not quite as fast as the second generation touch ID, but it works pretty well in most situations. The OLED screen is nice, but then again, their LCDs were also top of the line so I never had too many complaints about the screen to begin with. The nicest thing is the new form fact...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey

Is there any challenge to this game? I have read that it is impossible to get a "game over" screen. The one thing I love about Mario games (at least the NES era ones) is that there is a sense of challenge and accomplishment. However, it seems like this game is just about exploration and f...

Re: Does Nintendo hate money?

A week or two ago Nintendo released their forecast for Switch production for the rest of the fiscal year, and it increased from 10 million to 14 million. This is in addition to the 2 or 3 million it produced for the product launch in March for the previous fiscal year. That’s an enourmous number of ...

iPhone X

Any of you getting the new iPhone X? I was on the fence until a few days before preorders opened and then I just decided to get it anyways. The only regret I have is getting the 64 GB version instead of the 256 GB. I have the 256 GB iPhone 7 plus and only use 30-ish GB, but if I keep the X for 2 yea...

Re: Good Computer?

One thing to add in addition to ptdebate’s advice: put a solid state drive in there as soon as you can once you get your GPU situation taken care of. It doesn’t have to be your main drive, since larger SSDs cost a decent smount still, but if you can swing a 120GB to put your OS on and maybe a few ot...

Re: Nintendo Switch

The amount of heat that it would take to actually cause the plastic to bend is way more than the Switch can actually produce. Mine has a slight bend to it, and it’s just the way the plastic is manufactured. It’s still functional, fits in the dock okay, plays well, etc. i would just recommend putting...

Re: For Everything but the Switch.

Keep in mind the thing has only been out 7 months and was coming off of Nintendo’s worst selling come console. Third parties were hesitant to throw support behind an unproven product, and now that it’s selling well, can’t just crap games out for the holiday. I don’t think it’s ever gonna get huge su...

Re: NFL Football viewership down

I’ve definitely lost interest in the NFL as I’ve gotten older, and sports in general. For one, the national anthem debate is a symptom of a larger problem for me where every little thing is analyzed to death and it’s annoying. Did so-and-so stand for the anthem? Was Adrian Peterson yelling at Sean P...
