Re: New Improved XboxOne Console in 2017

imagine Microsoft financing an Xbox purchase with monthly payments I'm almost positive Microsoft did this with the Xbox 360 early in the consoles life. With the steady stream of discounts, sales, and price reductions, it seems that it would be a terrible deal. I don't recall if it lasted that long ...

Re: Nathan Drake and the Bad Review

I don't understand this argument. What evidence is there that this reviewer was paid off? What evidence is there that any reviewer has ever been paid off? Who would have paid this guy off to write a bad review? Are you suggesting that Microsoft would pay this guy off to intentionally give a PS4 exc...

Re: Nathan Drake and the Bad Review

If there's a review problem, it's reviewers getting paid off to write rave reviews - often before a game is even released This isn't the only problem. I think just as big a problem is reviewers (or sites) getting paid off to write poor reviews. Whether it be Uncharted in this case or any number of ...

Re: Sequels or New IPs?

I would be surprised if anyone could answer this since there are clear advantages to both. After all, an established franchise is a new IP at one point, at least most of the times. However, since the discussion is based on having a choice, I would currently choose new IP's. As I look at my Xbox One ...

Re: Prince's passing

Prince's surprise passing was certainly shocking even with the news of his recent hospital stay. However, besides being a fan this also reminded me what a crappy year it has been for music legends Keith Emerson - March 2016 Glenn Frey - January 2016 David Bowie - January 2016 Lemmy - December 2015 C...

Re: Xbox 360 Hidden Gems?

In honor of Quantum Break coming out today, I would suggest Alan Wake (which is also my favorite game of all time).

Re: The Walking Dead [SPOILERS]

I'm curious why this episode is considered a disappointment by so many. I certainly won't deny I am very curious to see who was killed and maybe the word disappointment is ok to use when in reference to not knowing. However, is the entire finale disappointing? I thought the episode was very well don...

Re: ET Creator

If anyone is interested, there is actually a pretty good movie about the ET development and subsequent landfill story. It is called Atari: Game Over and seems to be readily available online. I happened to see it a preview of the film at CGE2014 with Howard Scott Warshaw introducing the movie and the...

Re: Life is Strange (PS4)

I enjoyed this game quite a bit, especially considering the $10 price tag. However, for a game that got so much praise for being realistic, I found some of the characters to be so annoying that it bordered on parody. The character of Chloe was the one that almost ruined the game for me. I felt it wa...
