2014/5/10: Sega CD: Robo Aleste, Silpheed, Sonic CD

Robo Aleste is from Compile, so I'd expect some quality behind it. It looks a bit like MUSHA.

Sonic CD is easily my favorite in the series. I've been playing the enhanced Android port on my tablet, and it's pixel perfect with the option to choose the American or Japanese soundtrack. I lov...

2014/3/11: Dreamcast: Mars Matrix, Project Justice

Mars Matrix is a pretty sweet arcade port. I like all the extra features you can unlock. The only drawback is that you can score many more points on the DC with the same progress you make in the arcade game. I think it has something to do with the calculation. Project Justice I think deserves better...

2014/2/26: Atari 2600: Elevator Action, Elk Attack, Mogul Maniac

Elk Attack's graphics and gameplay are exactly the same as The Electric Yo-Yo, an arcade game by Taito that makes an appearance on the first Taito Legends compilation.

2013/12/19: Dreamcast: MDK2

One more thing, you can put the Dreamcast disc into your computer, look for the MDK2 folder, and there is a good amount of bonus material -- pictures, soundfiles from the development team, and more.

2013/12/19: Dreamcast: MDK2

I couldn't agree more with the "frustrating yet fun" review of MDK2. Yes, the characters and their stages are different and annoying in sections. Yes, the bosses seem to take forever to defeat. Yes, it isn't all there graphically, but the shooting and puzzle action keeps you coming back for more. Th...

2013/10/29: NES: Uninvited, Zombie Nation

Uninvited was probably the hardest of the 3 NES ICOM Simulation games. The "draining" that you experienced was because you have the RUBY that you found in one of the bedrooms in your possession (DO NOT TAKE IT!)

I didn't realize Zombie Nation was so rare. Price Charting has loose AND comp...

2013/9/23: Dreamcast: Spawn: In the Demon's Hand, Striker Pro 2000, Virtua Striker 2

I was awaiting your review of Spawn, and I have to disagree with the poor F grade it received. This was a port of the arcade title, which was linked in sets of 3 cabinets. You could play co-op in the mission mode or against each other in team and battle royal play. I was happy to see all the modes w...

2013/9/12: Super Nintendo: Full Throttle: All-American Racing, Joe & Mac, Super Smash TV

Joe & Mac and Super Smash TV were probably my first two SNES rentals and also became frequent ones later on. Great games.

2013/8/28: Atari 2600: Mega Force, Megamania

Megamania is still a favorite on the Activision Anthology collections I have. I like the various patterns of the enemies as well as how accurate you have to be on the smaller ones. The extra lives come in handy very much. If you just suspend your disbelief, it's pretty fun.
