2013/3/17: Xbox 360: Dodonpachi Resurrection, Fruit Ninja, Kung-Fu High Impact

The message you got on DoDonPachi about the game being used anywhere but Japan simply means that the set of ROMS the developer of this game chose to use to emulate this were from the set that corresponds to the international or "world" version of the game. It's a common occurrence in shoot em ups (p...

2013/3/5: NES: Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3

All 6 games are fantastic. I picked up Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the Gamecube last year and playing through them again felt like re-visiting old friends. I know MM2 is probably the fan favorite but I always enjoyed MM3 much more. Cool stages, the slide feature, awesome music (2nd on Snake ...

2013/3/1: Playstation: Colony Wars, Sled Storm, Strikers 1945

Keep in mind that Strikers 1945 on the Playstation is a port of Strikers 1945 II and not the first game.

2013/2/5: Atari 2600: Beany Bopper, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Mountain King

Thanks for not writing off E.T. like nearly every other reviewer out there and realizing you could be playing far worse on the 2600. I actually enjoyed my time with the game once I figured out the pits. It's a challenge to avoid the agent and it's pretty strategic to let the Scientist take you away ...

2012/12/8: Atari 2600: Aquaventure, Mean Santa, Submarine Commander

It appears that Submarine Commander was released and sold only through Sears, according to Atari Age. Stellar Track and Steeplechase were also Sears-exclusive titles.

2012/10/23: Super Nintendo: Super Scope 6, T2: The Arcade Game

Being the proud owner of the *last* Super Scope unit at the mall where Nintendo had their nationwide SNES tour setup, I can say SS6 is a good time. I enjoyed Intercept.

T2 was a good time and I actually preferred using the SNES mouse more than the other methods.

2012/6/22: Neo Geo: Overtop (MVS), Rally Chase (CD), Thrash Rally

These games are all great. Another one I'd group together with them is Neo Drift Out by Visco, it's like a rally version of Over Top. Should be worth your time.

2012/5/16: Atari 2600: Springer, Stronghold, Tooth Protectors

Interesting story on Tooth Protectors -- it too was only available via mail order, and according to AtariAge it's even harder to find than Chase The Chuckwagon!

Springer was an arcade port from 1982 -- http://www.arcade-museum.com/S/Springer.html

Apparently Basketbrawl came out on the 7800 too -- wonder if it's any better.

I would check out the SNES version of B.O.B. it might look and play a little better.
