Naxat Crush Pinball series.

Most members of this forum are classic gamers and I am sure most have no doubt heard of the great Crush pinball series from Naxat. The most popular being Alien Crush and Devil's Crush for the TG-16. The Genesis was lucky enough to get a great port of Devil's Crush and Tengen even made a mediocre seq...

Re: Japanese Sega Genesis carts

My Chris informed me today that the Sega Genesis Classic Game Console by AtGames (see my review below) also plays Japanese carts. That's a pretty nifty feature. http://videogamecritic.com/extras/reviews/genclassic.htm We tried it with my copy of Bare Knuckle 3 (Japanese version of Streets of Rage 3...

Re: What game system's lack of sucess shocked you?

Dreamcast should have been one of the best selling consoles of all time. I bought it on release date 9/9/99 and it was literally a generation ahead of everything else available. To bad everyone bought the ps2 hype and waited a year for it to come out. Also I think the Sega Nomad should have sold bet...

Re: Twinkle Tale - Sega Genesis

I'm so happy that someone else knows this game! I'm also glad you have enjoyed it so much. I played it religiously about 2.5 years ago. It's excellent. I never got nearly as good as you; couldn't get close to the final boss but I enjoyed making steady progress. Twinkle Tale would definitely make my...

Re: Christmas Ideas

If you're going to ask for games for Christmas you'll need to do it soon. I was looking through the newspaper circulars this morning and scanning this year's crop. There are a few slam dunks you can't really go wrong with: PS4: Batman, Until Dawn, Star Wars Battlefront, Shovel Knight, Mortal Kombat...

Re: What video game system's success shocked you?

The huge success of Tamagachi portable games shocked me. Just didn't understand why they became so popular. I attained more enjoyment from a Dreamcast VMU and it was just a glorified memory card.

Re: D (Sega Saturn)

I had this game in the early day's of PS1. This game is not for everybody as I was bored to tears. However one of my buddies at the time absolutely loved it. He was a big fan of the Myst series and this reminded him of it. I think people that enjoy Myst will like this but anyone else would have a ha...

Wolfenstein 3D for Sega Genesis hombrew.

I recently bought a repro of Wolfenstein 3D homebrew for the Sega Genesis. The game is amazing! Hard to believe this was done on stock Genesis hardware. It's play area is much larger then the SNES version also it runs smoother and IMO sounds much better. Here is a link to the Gameplay. https://www.y...

Re: Xbox One backwards compatiility

All I want for Christmas is to play my PS2 games on my PS4 and my original Xbox games on my Xbone. Is this asking for to much?

Please Santa?

Re: Xbox One backwards compatiility

I loved the backwards compatibility from original xbox to 360. Some were a buggy mess but most looked amazing being able to play via hdmi. Kind of how gamecube games looked great on Wii with RGB. Don't see the benefit though of HDMI to HDMI compatibility. What will I gain? Buggy gameplay is all I ca...
