Re: Sega - 15 years later

Nintendo was able to survive because of Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon. As great of a run Sega had in the 90s (and it was really great), Sonic was the only franchise that had truly mass appeal to many people, and they couldn't make a 3D Sonic to save the Saturn's life cycle. Combine that with the Dreamca...

Blast Corps (N64)

Got this game on Thursday, and I can't describe how much I love this game in complete detail. The combination of arcade action and puzzle solving feels surprisingly authentic. The vehicles (my favorite being the J Bomb) aren't easy to control, but that adds to the tension as you're trying to clear a...

Re: Greatest RPG Soundtrack of All Time

Chrono Trigger easily. As well as being the greatest RPG of all time in my opinion, the soundtrack is unreal. It doesn't sound like anything before or after it, and the eclectic influences fuse what sounds like new genres of music. And yes, I have the soundtrack, it's just that good. Runner up would...

Time to revive this thread Star Fox 64: Figuring out how to beat the Zoness boss was a pain. Sonic 2: Climbing up the polluted water in Chemical Plant Zone Act 2. Donkey Kong Country 2: The difficulty Beetle Adventure Racing: Nope Excitebots: Impossible to criticize this game. Super Mario 3D Land: W...

Forsaken 64

So this Descent-sequel game just arrived in the mail today, and it's on I've been excited to play because it's considered one of the 64's most underrated games/FPS'. After a few hours playing, here are my thoughts. The graphics are solid, and the smooth frame rate and cool looking explosions make it...

Beetle Adventure Racing (N64)

Just finished playing this timeless treasure again. I've already described my feelings about this game in the past so I'll just say this: The game is pure arcade fun, loaded with shortcuts, secrets, and air, and boasts some of the greatest and most creative track design in racing game history (where...

Re: Underrated N64 Games?

Well I've finally given in and just purchased Blast Corps off Amazon (along with Cruisn World, Forsaken 64, and Top Gear Overdrive) after hearing endless amounts of praise from it. Should be arriving soon. Can't wait.

Icon for F- Games?

I would suggest for an icon either a garbage can with odors and flies surrounding it or a straight F- icon.

Thoughts?

Re: RIP Phife Dawg

Sorry to hear this, although I've been out of the loop with these guys for awhile. I'm pretty sure that Midnight Marauders was the first rap/hip-hop album I ever bought, and I got it based on the strength of "Award Tour". I later picked up The Low-End Theory but I haven't listened to eith...
