Re: The Calling (Wii)

I love horror games for the Wii, I'm think the remote is often used in a nice way. I was/am really interested into this one too, but I found the game pretty hard to find. Is it rare? Did you pay much?

Re: Kids movies that can be enjoyed by adults

Many of those Pixar movies made me cry, they are really wonderful, for kids and parents:
Toy Story 1,2,3
Up!
Inside Out

I also agree on the Muppets movie, fun for every age.

Around Christmas also Home Alone 1 and 2 are enjoyable (skip the horrible 3-5).

Re: Anyone hyped for Samus Returns

I played this game for some time now and I'm not sure if I'm a fan. (I should note this is only the second Metroid game I played, after the excellent Metroid: Zero Mission on GBA). Many times I find it hard to find out where to go (I'm getting lost in the giant maze, without having any clear sence o...

Why do you feel this is a 'summer game'?

Yes, I pre-ordered it! Seems like the last interesting 3DS game for me....

Re: Why no 2d Mario (1991-2006)

Because Nintendo had other characters (Yoshi & Wario) for the 2D platforming games in that period:

1994 Wario Land 3: Super Mario Land 2
1995 Yoshi's Island (Super Mario World 2)
1997 Yoshi's Story
1998 Wario Land II
2000 Wario Land 3
2001 Wario Land 4

Super Street Fighter IV (3DS)

I was hesitant to pick this up, because I already owned Street Fighter IV on the Xbox 360. But it was really cheap now, so I decided to give it a go. And now I'm addicted! There's still an active community of online players (mostly beginners, like me) and I really like that the special moves can be ...

Re: Aladdin Deck Enhancer (NES)

The pack-in game is Dizzy the Adventurer. It's a combination of platforming and puzzle solving. I can't imagine Codemasters thought this Humpty-Dumpty mascot was going to sell. Well, Dizzy was one of the most popular game series on the ZX Spectrum, so I guess that's why Codemasters 'imagined' it mi...

Re: Alan Wake

I actually think this game is a bit overrated. I finished it, but it didn't really feel 'special to them'. I mean, it's very well produced and the atmosphere is very well done, but the gameplay is a bit repetitive, the game is very linear and the major premise of the plot becomes clear very early in...
