Re: Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Game Boy)

Unless there is some nuance I am just not grasping or if it’s an American rose tinted Nintendo thing us Europeans don’t get - I’m not sure. Don't worry, this American can tell you that the latter reason is definitely a huge part of it. I'd add this too -- Zelda has something about it that transcend...

Re: HTC Vive

From everything I've read, the HTC Vive is the best technology of the three. Meanwhile, the PS VR is the cheapest and most accessible of the three, since you can run it off your PS4 rather than needing a high-powered PC. I only recently learned that you need a PC to run the Vive and Oculus (maybe it...

Re: 2017/10/30: Xbox: Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge

Great review. Thanks to Crummylion for recommending this. I bought this game about a year ago, since I'm a fan of the movie, but haven't played it yet. This review is definitely pushing me to finally pop it in my Xbox. While it's Halloween now, does this game also involve enough Christmas theme to m...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey

Regarding Zelda, but brother is a huge fan of the series and he though BOTW was a "fantastic" game, but not really a good Zelda. That may make more sense to other Zelda fans.... BOTW is Nintendo's most impressive game ever, like the Gamespot reviewer said, but that doesn't mean it has to ...

Re: 2017/10/9: Playstation 4: Night Trap 25th Anniversary Edition

This review ran a bit long but I think it's pretty good. Let me know what you think. Great review. Your posts about this game on here and Patreon compelled me to get this game. I never played this game back in the day, but my gf and I have really gotten into it during the past year, since I finally...

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Game Boy)

For those that haven't heard me complain a million times, Zelda and Mario are the bane of my gaming existence. Great series, no doubt, but their "sacred cow" status let's them get away with anything, while the gaming media continues to drool over every one of their games that come out. It ...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey

Oh great, another Mario game being overrated by the professional gaming media as one of the "greatest games of all time". Literally, critics make me hate Mario more than anything. Like I see kids dressed as Mario for Halloween and I just want to beat them up now...thanks for that critics.....

Re: Haunting: Starring Polterguy (Genesis)

Interesting game. I bought it several years ago based on the Critic's positive review. I didn't find it to be as good as him, so I moved on pretty quickly and resold it. But I could see why people would like it. Very unique game.

Re: Creating Ms. Pacman

Nice article. Weirdly enough, I met Golson's son during a Craigslist transaction about a year ago. I bought some '80s computer stuff and a bunch of factory-sealed Atari games off of him--he was just starting college, so he was selling a few things to earn cash for school. I didn't know the connectio...

Re: 2017/10/19: Game Boy Color: The Simpsons: Night of the Living Treehouse of Horror

Ah, good to see that one of mine made the cut. I had never actually played this game... just stumbled across it while searching for Halloween games, and it sounded interesting enough to suggest for you. Surprisingly Gamespot gave this a 7.8 back when it came out in 2001, so that gave me hope that it...
