Re: RetroWorld Expo -- Oct. 15-16 -- Mark your calendars, Northeast gamers

I think Dave is from New England. I'd love to go, but it's still a little too far. I wish there was something like this in Pennsylvania, like the old PhillyClassic, especially in Western PA. I think Dave is from the Maryland area, though I do wonder what it takes to become a paid panelist at these ...

Re: Lemmings (SNES)

I played this a lot on the PC in the 90's too. I can't imagine playing it without a mouse. It's a long shot, but by chance, does it support the Mario Paint mouse?

Re: RetroWorld Expo -- Oct. 15-16 -- Mark your calendars, Northeast gamers

I get the sense that there aren't many gamers on the boards here that are up in the New England area of the US. But just in case, I want to revive this topic here as a reminder about this upcoming weekend. Some new developments that have been added to the schedule in the past few months. -A Video Ga...

Re: NFL 2K (Dreamcast)

Graphically, this is the last "WOW" game ever made... While it was landmark from a gameplay standpoint, I'll always remember it for the graphics. It was such a large leap from PS1 and N64--moreso than any other early Dreamcast title--that it just completely blew me away, as I saw it for th...

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

How are you liking Xenogears so far, RetroStrife? Good and bad. I just don't have time for RPGs anymore! It's so tough to get to. This has been my main game for like a year now and I'm only 25 hours in! And then I looked at the Table of Contents on a Gamefaqs walkthrough and realized that my curren...

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

Hope so maybe if Inconcentrated on the story missions it might flow better. But you need to do the side ops to get better equipment which unlike the other Metal Gear games breaks the immersion. Phantom Pain is brilliant, just when it starts to get dull they introduce something or twist it to keep i...

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

This is next up (or close to it) on my "to-play list" (..if I ever finish Xenogears). MGS is probably my favorite series at this point. I've played through MGS 1-4 and Portable Ops; so now I need to do this one, followed by Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain. Have you tried Portable Ops? That ...

Re: 2016/8/20: Sega Master System: Captain Silver, Captain Silver (Europe), Wanted

So the Captain Silver reviews beg the question of whether the European version will be as enjoyable for first-timers as it is for people who have already tried the US version. Here's what I mean... My entire life, I didn't own either version. Then, your review last month and the discussion with othe...

Re: 2016/8/15: Nintendo 64: Knife Edge: Nose Gunner, Hydro Thunder

I hope you enjoy my latest batch of N64 reviews! Hydro Thunder is a great summer title. Well, you got me all pumped to buy this game and then I check ebay and see it goes for twice the price of the Dreamcast and PS1 versions!.... I guess I'll have to pass for now, but I'll keep it on my radar. Than...

Re: 2016/8/4: NES: G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe: The Atlantis Factor

My original GI Joe review was a little ditty written back in 2000, so the new version is much more comprehensive. I'm thinking about putting an expensive icon next to these games, because they seem pretty steep on ebay. With game prices going up so much nowadays, this is the tough question--when do...
