Re: Super Mario Galaxy or Super Mario Galaxy 2?

The only thing I hated about either of them was the stupid Mario-Head-Spaceship-Planet thing in the second game. I don't know why, but I HATED that. Hated it. It was just beyond weird and arbitrary. As a result, first game gets my vote. :)

Re: Introducing the Nintendo Switch

Another thought related to pricing... how does the Switch compare, spec-wise, to high-end phones with similar screen sizes? I mean, a Samsung Galaxy is close to a grand. How does the Switch compare, and does that comparison help the price make a little more sense, considering you are also getting co...

Re: Introducing the Nintendo Switch

You know, all this wouldn't be as hard to swallow if they had been using all this down time from developing for the Wii U to have an absolute KILLER lineup of games available at release! What gives? Could it actually be part of their plan to spread the release of games out to add steady value to the...

Re: Introducing the Nintendo Switch

I'm surprised nobody is talking about screen size. That's the biggest bummer to me. Currently that isn't considered a tablet, it's considered a phone. Those controllers must be absolutely microscopic. Even an extra inch would have made all the difference in the world to me (Haha!).

Re: Wii U Console Review

One thing I was hoping to see you mention in the review, because I never see or hear a peep about it ANYWHERE, EVER... is that the tablet controller had a resistive touchscreen instead of capacitative. This was a HUGE disappointment to me, even as a bit of a Nintendo fan boy, when I first opened the...

Re: Closest thing to Actraiser out there?

Those are interesting suggestions. Harvest Moon has interested me in the past. I'll reiterate that I'm not even that interested in the "quest" aspect, just the simulation, overhead aspect. I'll look into Harvest Moon a bit more and see if there's a glimmer of hope there...

Closest thing to Actraiser out there?

I've been thinking about Actraiser a lot lately. Not playing it, just thinking about it. It's one of my all-time favorites. The reason I'm thinking about it but not playing it is because I've already played through it a dozen times, and I dislike the side-scrolling action scenes. But I LOVE the over...

Re: Introducing the Nintendo Switch

One thing I miss in video games over the last decade or so is that childlike excitement I would get for a new console or game. This is why I loved the original Wii so much. Like it or not, it somehow gave me a feeling of wonder and excitement that I had not felt since I got my first NES or SNES. I r...

Re: Pokemon Go - Getting lots of Attention

I kindof agree with Actraiser about the strangeness of a game being so commonplace... but this is very similar to the hype the Wii enjoyed at its release, and we endured that. ;) And I think the release of the Wii is an interesting comparison. Everyone else immediately played copycat with some kind ...
